East Quay Medical Centre

Fairly new to this area and I think I can say that the overall service of the NHS trust in Somerset has been considerably better than the area we came from. My first appointment with Dr Alex and I had made a mistake with the time which meant I was a bit late, this is something I never do so was very embarrassed, however I got a call from Dr Alex asking where I was, I was very close and Dr Alex saw me without any problem. Our overall opinion of the surgery is that the staff from the receptionists to the Drs has been excellent. We couldn’t be more happy with Dr Alex and all the Drs we have seen. The nurses again have all been so friendly. A massive thank you to everyone at East Quay Medical Group, you do a tough job and it must be so hard to please everybody. My wife and I feel Lucky that we are registered with this practice.

East Quay was very quiet today inc the waiting rooms but a lot of children waiting with parents as well. The reception staff were brilliant in advising people on doctor's appointments and nurses appointments and the chemist attached to the surgery was very busy with customers too. It's a very nice surgery with great doctors as well.

All staff are friendly and supportive. As with all surgeries let down by the government funding been under staffed and underpaid so wait for an appointment from 4 to 6 weeks same day emergency appointments are available depending on if the person answering the phone thinks it's an emergency

Fantastic staff (from the front desk to the HCAs, nurses, pharmacists and doctors). Every staff treat you with respect, kindness and care. My GP is very professional, listens and acts. I can't praise East Quay Medical Centre enough. A massive respect to my GP. She is simply amazing!

Always been treated very well by all doctors at this practise and they do appear to genuinely care about you and reception are very efficient, knowledgable and friendly. I had no hesitation to register my mother here when she relocated to Bridgwater to be closer to family and I have to say the service of registering her (as she has a few medical issues) has been 1st class and special thanks to Carol who took it upon herself to ensure the admin was taken care of super efficiently.

The Professionals at this well respected Medical Centre are governed by funding available. They do their very best with the stretched resources available to them.

I have CONSISTENTLY over many years, found staff and Doctors to expedite matters as quickly as they are able to, to help all their patients.

Also saw a Doctor Stamelos on 12th August 2022. This Doctor was very helpful with a skin burn problem. He has amazing patient doctor skills. Excellent.

I always find the reception staff pleasant and helpful, yes the ‘phones are busy, but there is the option for a callback. I recently needed to speak to a doctor and was offered a same day appointment. The doctors always treat my husband and I with kindness respect - I can’t fault the practice.

I only joined the surgery last year after my original Dr's closed, I have to say since moving I have been looked after and cared for by my new Dr very well, they care , to be honest I think they do an amazing job , especially when you think the stood strong and are still standing strong throughout this pandemic.

I have been with this Dr's surgery for 18 years and have always found them very helpful and efficient. My family and I have always been treated with respect and kindness. Any health problems have been dealt with quickly.

I rarely use doctors services, and after looking at the recent reviews I was quite reluctant. I can say I am very impressed by the service I recieved. The call back service was excellent, and negates the need to hang on the the phone to an obviously pressured reception service. The call was returned within 30 minutes, and following that I was reffered to a GP, who again called within a few hours.
I was advised to come to the surgery, which upon arrival, I was seen within 10 minutes, had my prescription another 10 minutes later. Overall, I very impressed how I was dealt with, excellent service.

I have belonged to this practice for nearly 50 years and that should tell you all you need to know.
I have never had a bad experience in all that time, the staff are always friendly, helpful and professional.

Having previously been at highbridge medical centre which is absolutely abysmall I cannot praise east quay medical centre enough. Quick responses easy to order repeat prescriptions and they are extremely helpful with enquiries. I had an appointment got a quick diagnosis, bloods were taken there and then and got a phone call about a follow up within a couple of days. Really excellent all around. Thank you east quay.

I have nothing but praise for my Doctor, she has looked after my husband and is continuing to care for him in every way possible. Thankyou so much.

We feel very lucky to be patients of this surgery the gps and nurses are fantastic ! The majority of the time you get seen at short notice if your really anxious about somthing they will advice you and put your mind at rest ,
