Lovely, lively cafe nestled inside the YMCA.

Great big, fat sandwiches and toasties on offer, as well as gorgeous coffee, cakes and pastries.

Bear in mind that this cafe gets extremely busy as it is situated in a popular area right next to the canal and we were advised to book ahead during our training course.

The decor was cute, bright and open, and the staff were lovely and seemed very much on top of things despite being packed 😊

A wonderful place, spacious but cosy. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Fab menu. Morning coffee time so I just fancied their pancakes , bacon and maple syrup with a latte. Bliss.
Would highly recommend this place, so many tasty treats to offer. We're coming again soon so I can sample some more of their menu!

We have always loved The Purple Spoon cafe, and so chose them as the caterers for our wedding in Bridgwater in July. They catered perfectly for vegetarians and vegans, with a vegan paella for the day meal (with fish and meat add-ons for those who wanted it!) and a vegetarian buffet for the evening. The service was warm, friendly, and joyful. Everything was done efficiently and the food was delicious. We couldn’t fault The Purple Spoon at all. They went above and beyond, especially to help with providing crockery for family-made desserts… and even helped with serving them!! Highly recommend!! Organised a meeting at a local Village Hall near to Bridgewater and asked Purplespoon if they would cater.

The service was very friendly and professional and even offered to drop the food to the Village Hall. The food itself was also fantastic, there was a great variety of sweet and savoury options and they were able to cater for a variety of preferences.

Will definitely be using Purplespoon again and hope to pop into one of the cafes when I am next in the area. 10/10!!

Cosy and nice environment in a similar fashion to scoffage since the owner is the same.
We had the pancakes and the club sandwich. I wanted to try the homemade crumpets but they run out of them. My gf also had the last set of pancakes. This was on a Saturday at 1pm which maybe it is a sign that they need to increase the stock of ingredients.
Nice outdoor seating area for the summer with sun in the afternoon. Next to a canal with some ducks floating around which gives it a special touch.

this cafe is cute with nice decoration and a good atmosphere. whilst its in a harder to find place, once you do find it, its great and definitely worth it. it is along the canal which is lovely in the summer, you can also sit outside so you can bring dogs as well! the food here is great quality and portions, breakfasts and lunches are suitable for all ages too. vegan options are available which is great. they also serve a large variety of cakes and sweet pastries which are all homemade and you can pick up on your way out if wanted as they have a takeaway option for cakes and sweet treats! a huge variety of drinks on top of this too! great for big groups as they are able to accommodate to large groups very well, which is good for parties or large meetups, although it is very important that you book. they also have a huge variety of events you can go and take part in at all times of the year, lots if these events are very l different in what they contain and what they are about so there is certainly something for everyone! overall a lovely place, i highly recommend that you stop by here!

Randomly stopped by for lunch when out for a walk. Wow. Was lovely. One of the nicest side salads and jackets I've had. The sandwiches were huge and delicious. Well worth the money and a very enjoyable lunch. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Would totally recommend visiting here

Absolutely loved this cafe. The atmosphere, despite being busy was lovely, the staff were amazing and the food was delicious. A real gem which I will definitely be raving about to others and returning to!

Great find! We enjoyed a delicious brunch overlooking the river. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were especially happy to enjoy The Purple Spoon's relaxing atmosphere after a cancelled hospital appointment. Just what we needed, look forward to visiting again!

Set by the canal and on the outskirts of the town.
Only ordered up a couple of drinks but the food coming out looked very nice, the place is nice and clean inside with plenty of room plus there's seating outside (when the weather is nice).
All the staff was very pleasant and helpful and in this weird times the way you ordered and sat down with plenty of space was well done.
Can't wait to come back and try the food especially those CAKES.

We ordered the delicious Mexican share boxes from Purplespoon for our little work Christmas party and were over the moon with the service and food.

Organising delivery was quick, easy and totally effortless. The food was delivered hot, fresh and on time. Safe to say there wasn't a single bite left come the end. Everything went down a treat.

We stopped here for a coffee, and stayed for a brilliant breakfast. We had the giant crumpets and the vegan breakfast, and were very happy with both. Coffee excellent too.
