An amazing place, with a gorgeous ambiance, you feel the soul of music. The Ward family that owns Rockfield Studio are amazing!! Kingsley is a man with so much music history, his wife Ann is a special lady!

And Lisa and Amanda are just marvelous!

You are in great surroundings, love the peace and birds there!! And Hugo and Neptune are so loveable!!

Just brilliant! Amanda showed us around and told us all the little stories about the recording of Bohemian Rhapsody and about Oasis and Wonder wall. So impressed we both bought a tshirt. Would go back again.

Such an exciting experience. In the midst of the beautiful countryside, close to Monmouth, is Rockfield Farm (a working farm) with its incredible provision to the big names of rock. They came here to live whilst working on their music and recording the results. Sometimes staying for days, sometimes for months. The library of work is surely unique. I most enjoyed hearing the first ever recording of Bohemian Rhapsody. Goosebumps! The stories told by the co-founder of the studios, Kingsley Ward, are truly fascinating. If you can book a place on a tour, you won't be disappointed.

We had a moment of a lifetime tour of Rockfield Studios, with the legend Kingsley Ward, who set to studios up.

His enthralling tales of recording such classics as Bohemian Rhapsody, Wonderwall, Paraniod, Yellow and countless other wonders, along with stories of fights (the Gallagher brothers), drug busts and taking his own demo taoe to George Martin had us all mesmerised.

To be in these very studios was awesome but to be there with the man who made it all possible was a true privilege.

If you get a chance to go on one of their tours then do it, fascinating stories (actually, some stories that will never see the light of say but brilliant to hear :). See the piano that made Yellow, see the Queen space, see the actual Wonder Wall, see that patch of grass the brothers fought on.

So worth a visit!

My wife and myself was only passing while out on my motorbike for the day and over the years I must have passed there a hundred times , but on this occasion curiosity got the better of me and decided to stop for a look and a quick photo or two. While there Amanda came out and asked if she could help us.
I said that we new about Rockfield studio and as me and my wife are both massive rock fans we couldn't resist just having a sneaky look at the famous place. Amanda was so welcoming letting us about the place and even took a photo of us out side the famous studio 1 and even said we could buy merchandise which I took full advantage of and went on my way with a Rockfield T shirt and coat..
Thank you Amanda for your time and since then we have booked a tour and we are also going to book a weekend there.
Thank you again Amanda.

Hoonose recorded 3 songs in the coach house studio in December 2021 and we also stayed at the coach house accommodation. We absolutely LOVED the experience and left very happy with the recordings completed with Jack Boston. Ainsley showed up for a chat a few times and his stories of massive bands recording there were the icing on the Rockfield cake :)

Had a brilliant day on Monday - "8 Hours at Rockfield", organised by Prism Sound. Got to use the toilet with probably the highest ratio of celebrity wee ever.

We had a tour by Amanda Ward. She was brilliant. Showed us the studios where big bands have/and continue to record their music from Queen, Coldplay and Oasis. Such an amazing place, totally understated but has played such a massive role in the music scene. A must visit for music buffs. We could feel the energy of Chris Martin and Freddie. Awesome is an understatement. Fantastic.

Just come away from a nights stay and a tour of the studios and already I can't wait to go back. The minute we arrived Lisa treated us like we were old friends and the rest of the family welcomed us just as warmly too. The room we were shown to was the room Brian May of Queen stayed in whilst they were recording - so this got us off to a very happy start. The room was so comfortable, spotless and huge, both upstairs and down. The beds were very clean and comfortable, had a lovely nights sleep in them. Breakfast was heavenly - the best scrambled eggs I've ever had and the croissants were delicious, as were the sausages and bacon - and the orange juice! Now - onto the tour. Our tour guide (Kingsley!) Was hilarious. He told us all the different things that had happened with all the different bands that had come to record here and it was wonderful, getting a real insight to how the band's behaved (and finding out that some of them weren't as 'rock n roll' as you might think!)
I'd recommend this tour to any music fan, it isn't just for Queen fans - there's something for everyone. I will definitely be returning in the summer.
