The White Swan Hotel

Listed building so no lift. Room clean and comfortable. Meals excellent. Lounge areas comfortable. Staff very accommodating. Car park at rear. Town centre position. Dining room lined out with reclaimed wood from Liner Olympic, sister ship to the Titanic.

Amazing experience on mothers day.
The Olympic restaurant is out of this world. Sister ship of the titanic and britannic. Its astonishing, history in the making. The staff were so helpful and friendly. To top of mothers day, staff handed my mam 12 daffodils courteously from the white swan.

We booked this hotel as we like staying in older properties situated in town centres. We enjoy looking at 30's plumbing and fittings and can forgive a little tiredness and rough edges in return for that sort of character.
The White Swan certainly delivers on all fronts. I didn't even spot the dining room, staircase and revolving door salvaged from the SS Olympic until we arrived.
All in all a superb stay.

I finally got to touch wood in the RMS Olympic's first class lounge, something I've wanted to do for a long time. The staff are very friendly and used to people sneaking into the dining room just to look around in awe at Old Reliable. We had a very nice luncheon in the cafe and I recommend the three piece platter. You should absolutely stop off here if you are in Alnwick and spend a moment admiring the history on display.

Wow what a place. Had a meal in Olympic restaurant. Food wasn't messed around with and good portions. The potato skins were good and the chips with main were proper hand cut chips with crunchy outside and fluffy inside. Ambiance was really nice .

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. We didn't know the history of the dining room before we booked it, but what a wonderful surprise we had. Our room was so comfortable and the staff are super friendly.

A lovely hotel, in the heart of Alnwick with a phenomenal link to Titanic. The ships sister, Olympic, is the pride of the hotel in the Olympic Suite which features the original First Class Lounge from Olympic. For Titanic lovers, it's the closest we will ever get. It is breathtaking. The only gripe, the hotel and rooms are incredibly hot, it would be good if the radiators allowed the guest to turn them down. Also, the breakfast, used to be great but when bacon is cooked and left under heated lights, it's like leather. Was a bit disappointed with breakfast but the interior of the breakfast room l, the Olympic Suit, makes you easily forgive the poor breakfast. The fine dining is exquisite, absolutely delicious food and superb staff.
On a side note, the cleaners do a superb job, our room was immaculate as was the entire hotel. Not a spec of dust anywhere!! Perfect!

My Husband and I always like coming to this Hotel when we come to Alnwick. The rooms are very nice and the staff are always friendly.

Just passing through, but 7 of us had a fantastic lunch with big beautiful pieces of fish. Unbelievable value for money as well

Breakfast was disappointing, no glasses for juice, quite a wait for restocking of hot food .very disorganised from kitchen

We had a gift card for the Champagne Afternoon Tea for 2. The food was delicious, lots of sweet and savoury, tea and coffee. All the staff we encountered fromm reception to the ones in the restaurant were very friendly, knowledgeable. There was an item missing from our stand, when I mentioned it, they immediately brought it out. The room we were in is a lovely old fashioned room, a perfect setting for afternoon tea.

Lovely room with bottled water, kettle (with tea, coffee and biscuits), iron, ironing board, hairdryer etc. Bathroom is lovely with a light up mirror and plenty of towels. Beds are comfy as well.

Great restaurant and lovely friendly staff and really good prices. The restaurant is actually all fitted out with the dining area from the Olympic the sister ship to the Titanic. The entrance doors to the hotel and the stairs are also from the Olympic. Fabulous atmosphere makes you feel really comfortable and special.

We had dinner here to experience the Olympia dining room. This is the interior from the sister ship to the Titanic bought in the 1930's when it was broken up and auctioned off. Fabulous place! An excellent 3 course dinner for £25 - very good value. And the staff were superb. The surroundings couldn't have been better. It was copied by James Cameron for the film Titanic. Bet he couldn't believe his luck!

Only stopped for coffee and a quick look into the hotel restaurant which is the interior of the sister ship of the Titanic, The Olympic. Magnificent and truly a site to be seen. Definitely recommend a nosey

Central 3 star hotel, good food ,clean rooms.

Lovely hotel. Just spent a few days here over the New Year.Stayed in the Bamburgh Suite which was roomy and comfortable. The staff were professional and very approachable. Lovely food. I am gluten free and they catered well got my condition. Recommend to all.
