The Treehouse Restaurant

We were out and about in Alnwick for the first time since 2008. Ic and Flic were having a pint of 3 Rivers in the Fleece when they noticed a wedding party heading into Alnwick Castle. Being borderline Dark Triads they followed and gate crashed a wedding in this giant tree house. Super wedding venue. Very original. Scammed a three course meal and lots of wine. Apologies to Bride n Groom. Lots of wood and a lovely fire..a worry when these two are about. Burn Baby Burn being their favourite 70's hit by little known group Ash. Both Ic n Flic loved the wedding. Ray Peterson says " Tell Laura I love her." Boom boom boom boom! Great time. Sorry Matthew.

Cosy atmosphere, warm. Friendly staff, however returned a drink as wasn't what I asked for, but they changed it without questions. Plenty on the menu to choose from. Not a long wait to be served, or in between courses. Food was delicious, hot, and we left nothing on our plates! Deserves all 5 stars, and hope to visit again. Reasonably priced.

Booked online for a Friday lunchtime. There was limited availability even though there were plenty of empty tables - maybe this keeps it feeling "exclusive". The service was excellent. We went for the two-course set lunch menu: soup of the day, coronation chicken terrine, Aberdeen Angus burger, battered pollock & chip. Beers were bottled. The service was good & portion size was generous. We did not have room for dessert or coffee.

we visited tree house free of charge and enjoyed walk over rope bridge. There is a nursery which is free as well.
Disappointed about Poison garden entry fee and Castle entry fee.

Absolutely fantastic food and ambience. Was worried after reading mixed reviews but we both loved it. New menu and both Lamb and Chicken Mains were Devine also signature dessert

The most amazing place, with the most amazing food. Never had such exquisite tasting dishes. Beetroot pearls just popped in you mouth. Pineapple compote with chilli was differently delicious. Top marks all round. Worth every penny 💯

Absolutely beautiful inside. The meal was surprising, everything was very good. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing.

Stunning restaurant. I have wanted to visit this place in many years and finally visited Northumberland and realised how close we were. Booked a table for 5, one of the party was in a wheelchair with allergies. We could not have been better looked after and the food was exquisite. We will definitely return ❤

Had Sunday lunch today as a birthday treat.
Staff were really nice, very warm welcome and prompt service. We were shown to a lovely table great atmosphere.
Ordered roast lamb dinner which was excellent meat cooked to perfection, great choice of creamed and roasted vegetables and great side dish of green vegetables.
Very generous portions so didn’t have dessert. Well done to the staff we had a really enjoyable meal

Great menu, wonderful service from all staff. Food was fresh and tasty, although my duck was a little dry. But this was rectified.
Everything else was great. Garnish and sauces really added to the meal, rather than been there just to look good. Vegan starter was nice too, could appreciate it even though we're not vegan.
Good selection of drinks for everyone and just a beautiful unique restaurant.
Worth travelling up there for the restaurant alone.

It is one of the best places I have been to for a meal. It's extremely romantic and not only the surroundings are amazing but the food is extremely tasty, good portions, the staff are friendly and accomodating and well worth a visit. It is well priced and very nice for a special occasion. Best of all, it is accessible, and staff will help to make sure you are comfortable. I will be revisiting as I absolutely loved it.

Excellent service and food feels like entering into a Scandinavian world of witches' covenstead. Very magical.

Amazing place where everything is made of wood. If you would like to have a meal inside the restaurant, you need to make a reservation. But if your trip was spontaneous as mine, you can still have some meal in a “bar” that is outside the restaurant. The menu in the bar is quite short, however you can still find smth for yourself.

The food tastes nice, the place is clean, the staff is attentive and helpful. Pricing is reasonable. There is a parking, for the whole park, there would be no issues. Moreover, this place is not that far from the bus station.

Enchanting experience inside a treehouse. Charming decoration inside with firepit. Gnocci was delicious and lamb was tender and flavourful. Staff very attentive. Booking essential.

Had lunch here for our 10th Wedding Anniversary...the staff were wonderful, food excellent and timely all in this beautiful place

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing setting and the building is just stunning. We had the lunch menu and it was fantastic, nettle cheese soufflé and black pudding scotch egg for starters followed by the mussles. Highly recommend this place, definitely worth a try.

This amazing place was right at the top of our list of places to visit whilst holidaying nearby in Cresswell. It certainly did not disappoint on any level (pun intended 😉). The whole place is stunning, and the smell of wood, especially when we entered the restaurant, is just lovely. If you're into Eco, this is a must see. We'd booked lunch, and both food and service were excellent - made the visit particularly memorable. Shame the rope bridge was closed due to some building works. An excuse to return, if one were needed.
