This is a great place for a walk with land on one side and sea on the other. The terrain is flat but there can be a good wind that blows the cobwebs away.

Great place to walk and observe nature. Free car park, trail was a bit muddy, so wear wellies. Beautiful area.

Beautiful walk around the waters edge. Arrived around 4pm and had a great few hours wandering and boat/bird watching! We'll definitely be back when we have more time to explore.

A small circular walk around a bird sanctuary and an excellent place to see wading birds at low tide. Has a cool boat graveyard near the south-east side.

There is a rugged beauty here. It is peaceful, there is a ton of wildlife including hundreds, perhaps thousands of birds and good facilities. It is one of my dads favourite places in the world and incredibly peaceful.

A wonderful place to walk and take in the Beauty of the Kent marshes. We walked from the Harry Ferry along the shore to a Holt then along the creek into Oare. It took us a couple of hours with stops but it's flat terrain. I was very grateful for a pit stop by the time we reached the pub (The Three Mariners - lovely outdoor space) before we pushed off on the final 1.5 mile walk along Church Road back to the car.

Fabulous views of wildlife especially seabirds and Isle of sheppy. Nice footpath for walking around. Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible and parking very limited.

Had a lovely walk. Reminds me of the very atmospheric scenes from wallander or any of the scandi noir shows
There is a pay by mobile car park with a massive puddle filled pot hole , £2.50 week days £3.50 weekends, Lots of cars were parked along the road.

Great bird watching with wonderful wildfowl and waders, including avocets, especially in winter. Most can be seen easily from the pull in on the road making it perfect for those with limited mobility. Also good for butterflies and damselflies. Fantastic views across The Swale. One word of warning, the path by The Swale and creek gets very muddy and rutted after heavy rain and when warm and still there are hordes of midges. Also the entrance to the car park and part of the road tends to flood after rain especially in winter. It is still passable but care is needed as you are unable to judge the depth of the pot holes. No toilets on site. In 2021 the Kent Wildlife Trust has started to charge to use the car park in order to raise funds towards managing the reserve. You need to pay online but have 24 hours to do so from your visit so if you don't have a smart phone it is not a problem. Repairs have been made to the carpark and road. There is a small disabled car parking area by the entrance to the reserve which is free for Blue badge holders.

Beautiful midweek dog walk. Perfect as only saw one other person so social distancing wasn't a problem. Lovely views, perfectly peaceful apart from the sound of the sea birds.

Beautiful place, wide open place with the perfect balance of strong salty sea wind, view of boats, and the sea, tall grass, Marshes, and really lovely walks within nature. Lots of beautiful creatures to see: grey heron, many different species of butterflies, birds, swans, ducks, and lots more. I highly recommend taking a camera with you and know you'll get some great shots.

Beautiful place for a walk, or to go bird watching. Hides available to sit in to get out of the wind. Loads of birds, not too many people.

A great walk to the swale estuary with lots of water fowl and hedge row birds. It is a former gun powder factory.

Only a short walk or drive from Faversham, these marshes provide a tranquil site where you can see a range of rare birds and, depending on the time of year, the invasive Marsh frog. A number of hides are provided for the viewing of birds.

Really nice nature reserves right next to the sea looking out to the Isle Of Sheppey and you can see alot of amazing species of bird relaxing on the tiny islands in the middle of the lake.

Faversham's best kept secret place. Big open skies, many species of birds including frequent rarities. Go at sunset/dusk or early morning for most dramatic light.
