Basically a standard pub like everywhere else. Tasty food and pleasant prices. Great choice of beer and cider. Very nice building both inside and outside, interesting to read the history of the city. Very many different memorable stories throughout the restaurant. One of which I will attach below for example.

Tried bangers and mash for the first time and loved it! Great first impression! And didn't wait long at all. Everyone was happy inside, it was busy and loud but fun. Great atmosphere! Go have fun

Refreshing pint of SKYLIGHT
4.1% Crisp and lightly floral Continental pale ale. Which went very well with my tasty fish and chips with mushy peas. Excellent table service using their App.

Recently refurbished, so it's impressive on the inside. A good selection of beers at very good prices. Popular so service can be a little slow so would recommend trying the app as most of the time this works fine. Only three stars for service as it's a mixed bag. On a previous visit the guy who served us was warm and friendly and gave excellent service and yet on this visit the young girl was rude to my wife for simply asking a question. More often than not it's fine. Would still recommend

Excellent service, food cooked to perfection and piping hot which was the best surprise. My meal was presented exactly as I asked for with toast separate. Such great value.

Great Wetherspoons pub, use to be a bank years ago, the style of this magnificent building has been nicely preserved. Beer excellent, I drink real ale. Tried food here and that’s good too. Price’s brilliant as you’d expect from Wetherspoons. Cleanliness good including the toilets. Staff nice, well recommended 👍

I've been to lots of Wetherspoons pubs around the UK and I have to say the interior of this building is stunning. Its recently had a £1.7 Million refurbishment in which they have increased the size of the building by occupying the building to the left of it. They have a nice modern beer garden now.

The bar is in a large island in the centre of the former banking hall, the ceiling is very high and very decorative, do have a look up when your ordering your drinks.

They had two flat (boxed) ciders on, service was quick. The food was good, had the BBQ Melt and the British Bramley apple pie which were both excellent.

Look forward to coming to this spoons again.

After redecorated, we almost visited here every Friday after work. The place is big and very traditional and beautiful, with a large bar area. The food, drink and wine is good and cheaper than other pubs and restaurants. Besides, various age group will be here, unlike others just either of the older or the youth. In additional, many families will come to here to get their breakfast as the breakfast menu has much varieties. In summary, it may be the best place in Derby to have a gathering, especially need a big big Venus with many many people joining.

Very busy place, bustling through out the building, meals are good and reasonable prices, coffee is where you pay for a mug and then you can refill for free, good variety of drinks, it's a lovely architectural building inside formally a bank.

This was a fantastic pub to go drinking at, with a grand design particularly the colossal roof! Best Wetherspoons in Derby; the chandeliers are beautiful, staff make us welcome and the counter is well-presented. Me and my friend enjoyed a cocktail pitcher and mini cheddars that are very cheap, sitting comfortably at a clean table!

Excellent place, when you can get served, sometimes you are served within 30 seconds, other times it can be as long as TWENTY MINUTES, and that's at the bar, some staff just ignore you, which is so frustrating, seen many people just walk out and go elsewhere, which is a shame as it's a very nice place.

Come on wetherspoons get your act together. Employ more staff if needed, or retrain the staff you have.

Lovely venue, massive compared to others we've been in, the food was fairly standard for spoons prompt hot but never exciting.
Service was slow when the pub was quiet, 6 staff at least but only 1 serving, but quick service when it was busy,

Staff really helped with accessible washroom that was locked and out of paper.
Food is passable. It's ok but nothing special. But the beer's great.

Lovely spoons! Ordered via the app on a busy day after Derby’s half marathon and the orders arrived nice and quickly. Very spacious with lots of seats and a nice large area out the back with benches!

If and whenever I go to see a show Standing Orders is the 1st stop, a meal and a couple of pints.
The atmosphere in here is tremendous, its always the same when I come here...
Not a place to come if your after a quiet meal and a chat, that would be absolutely impossible.
