Possibly the most interesting pub I have seen in a long time. I don't drink but the food was excellent. I met the original lady who bought the bar as a very small cottage 40 plus years ago and I think her daughter and husband run it now. Thousands of Toby jugs and teapots adorn the walls and even the ceiling. Great outside space to relax and watch the canal boats as they pass through the locks.

Revisited this quaint and charming place on my recent boating holiday. Fabulous food, very good portion sizes. Staff are very welcoming. Good value for money. We were a family of 6 and all meals arrived within seconds of each other. We loved it so much we we had dinner there again on the way back and took our grandchildren as well. Kids loved it. They accommodated a party of 8 easily . Well worth a visit

Highly recommended
We re-visited on our return journey down the Llangollen canal, it was our favourite along the entire waterway, so friendly and welcoming.
It was half term so the pub was packed, but it was just as good if not better than our first visit.
The weather was stunning which meant we were able to eat outside.
The outside there are various places to sit including beside the lock.
The pub inside is charming, with an array of jugs and pot, a real unique place.

Will be back !
We all loved this place, a proper pub serving great food and real ales.
The food was served promptly, was delicious and well priced.
Good selection of desserts and coffees.
Our beer of choice was the Limestone Stone Cutter which was excellent.
They were also kind enough to help us with Wi-Fi, which we really appreciated.
We really enjoyed our visit whilst out on our boat and will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.
Thank you

Lovely choice of pub food and drinks. We had gammon and steak, very nice. Lovely outside seating and inside. Quirky decoration inside, lots of beautiful teapots. If you're on a canal boat you can moor just outside, a very convenient stop.

Lovely staff serving a good selection of ales, stouts & lagers. Well placed next to the canal on a sunny day its lovely to sit and watch the boats go by. Also serves wonderful food, on the pricey side but worth the price!

Not so easy to find, as Sat Nav tells you that you have arrived a few minutes before the actual place, but stay on the same road. Well worth a visit. We where the first people there at 12.10 pm, Food lovely are very large ( I couldn't finish my fish platter).

Great to be back here again especially now it's finally opened after the lockdown!
As canal boaters, we're always warmly welcomed back, great food and always a good pint of ale on tap and good selection of wine as well.
Thanks Bev, Deb and Jenn for your hospitality and hope things go from strength to strength now you're open again!
We'll keep coming back no doubt or whenever we are on the Llangollen canal again...👍😁. The " J's " x

What a lovely pub ! Sat in a very nice beer garden over looking the canal , we didn't have food although it looked very nice perhaps on our next visit.

Just back from our meal, booked for a party for 13 of us for a birthday. Staff were really friendly, food was piping hot and generous portion, not overpriced. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Lovely canalside pub. Large carpark but pub not easily accessible for those that can't walk due to having to cross canal on a bridge with steps, although not many steps it's quite steep? Staff friendly and helpful and food is good. Dogs allowed inside pub on a lead.

We stopped here for an evening meal during our week-long canal boat holiday. It was a great choice! Friendly, helpful staff, extensive menu and lovely ambience in the restaurant area. I had an amazing rump steak cooked to perfection, followed by syrup sponge and custard, a real treat. Great bar selection too. Highly recommended xx
