Plassey - Holiday Park, Retail Village & Golf Course

My wife and 16 month old had a little holiday here recently which was fantastic. It was put of season so the site was really quiet other than people stopping in the lodges. There’s a little shopping village on site which even had a barbers and a beauty parlour. There’s a heated indoor swimming pool which we had all to ourselves one afternoon which our little one loved. The site is absolutely immaculate and all the staff are really nice and helpful. We ate out one night at the golf club and which was decent enough and well priced. The hot tubs are great, the lodges are well spaced out with lots of space between so plenty of privacy, we requested a lodge in the corner close to the field so my daughter could see the animals in the field which was nice. I would definitely return but next time would choose to stay in a safari tent as the lodges were a little bit on the small size for us and the little one.

Having stayed in the luxury lodges for 2 consecutive weeks for business, I can confirm it's a welcome break from staying in a hotel room. The lodges are very well maintained, clean with beautiful views onto countryside. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help and answer questions. The park itself seemed very quiet during my stays.

Beautiful well kept site. Staff are friendly and informative. Everywhere is kept very clean and tidy.
The Stables coffee shop is excellent also the Hay Bank clubhouse for food/drink is worth a visit. Very friendly atmosphere.
Having a swimming pool is a bonus. It has an adults only time for an hour every day.
There is a nine hole golf course.
Would certainly recommend a vist for weekend or longer.

Had a long weekend here at the beginning of October. Weather was really good low 20*. Lots too do there.
Large fully serviced pitches.
Log cabins,static vans,Swimming pool,craft shops,badminton,pool,restaurant,fishing,golf course and plenty other things too do.
Toilets and showers spotless.
The whole place is really well kept.

A lovely site well managed with great fully serviced pitches. Spacious areas and great golf course for those who desire it.
There are a range of shops and two eateries.

Access good for travelling with caravans and motorhomes also a range of accommodation to rent too.

This is a 5star camp facility, we have only scratched the surface & already purchased a caravan here, looking forward to exploring the whole site, have not graded the service but from what we have experienced today, site is pristine, manicured lawns & flower areas staff friendly, had a late lunch, which was very good!! Service was excellent, can't wait to have memorable times here, & am sure the site staff will have a large input to that

Amazing place to stay, a site for all seasons!!! Fantastic for all campers whether that be solo, couple or family!!

We have motorhome and absolutely loved our stay. Lovely welcome, perfectly kept site. Facilities were good, pool added bonus, golf, fishing, shopping all in one. Amazing dog walks and field. Sadly had to cut our stay short due to home emergency but will remember this holiday. Thanks Plassey x

We've just returned from Plassey with our touring caravan we stayed 4nights to end our touring holiday of North Wales abd the site was on our way back home to Nottinghamshire. We absolutely loved it! From the very friendly check in, showing us to our pitch, we had a small problem which was rectified within 10minutes, the site was immaculate, the pitch was fully serviced, big enough and very well kept. We stayed on the deluxe super pitches up on the far right hand side of the site, pitch TD02 lovely and quiet, toilets and showers clean and well kept. Retail and shops wonderful to nip into, we also went to the cafè and the haybarn restaurant to eat abd drink all were fantastic staff and food. We've recommended to lots of people especially our grandchildren! Love also how the rubbish bins are away from the site and drive through!
Will definately be back!

Stayed in one of the lodges over new year. The lodges were immaculate, well equipped and clean. The hot tub was fabulous. If had to fault them then I would say a little on the small side but suited us. The site is well kept and the staff really friendly. Would highly recommend.

Still here on site at the moment but I cannot rate Plassey high enough. The staff are so friendly and are always working hard to ensure the ground is kept clean, safe and happy. The indoor pool facilities are very clean, and closely monitored with a nice, comfortable seating area. We are on a Fairview pitch which are large, well kept, albeit a walk from the amenities on site, this isn't a hinderance for us as we enjoy lookong at the views. There is so much for children to do on site and the walking routes are stunning. The last few night the sunset has been beautiful and wildlife really does thrive here.

Will 100% be returning.

Staying on a large hardstanding pitch, facing the Golf Course, and it's a great area.

Toilet block/showers superbly clean (with music playing in the background).

Staff very friendly and ALWAYS cleaning the whole site.

Little shop on site and two pubs, with other little shops to have a gander.

Free swimming pool available to use if you fancy it.

There are Safari Tents and Log Cabins available to hire, all with hot tubs, and they look amazing!

The only two little downsides in our opinion, is that if you are into 'fishing ', the two little fishing ponds advertised, are a hell of a walk away, and uphill!
Not reachable by car neither, so the hubby a little disappointed in that, and refrained from the 'exercise and workout' that the walking and carrying fishing tackle entailed!

Also, not enough rubbish bins around, to put your camping rubbish in, but saying this, the staff are VERY accommodating, and have even asked if we have any rubbish, as they are going past, and have taken it from us! ...now THAT is service, and fabulous credit where it is due! AMAZING!!!

Overall, having an amazing time, perfect place for golf lovers, and great for little walks!

Lovely experiance. Warm friendly greeting. Guide to our designated plot. Toilets exceptionally clean. Nice indoor heated swimming pool. Dog enclosed exercise area. Lovely clubhouse. Friendly efficient staff. Lovely pint of Bitter. Nice coffee and cake outlet. Shame the Restaurant had closed . But I was told it would be opening in the future. Local Takeaway will deliver to reception . Overall a very nice experiance plassey Team work hard to maintain an excellent standard to make this a great Holiday Park.

We stayed in August 21 on a fully serviced gravel pitch, in a tent. All the pitches are large and flat, but you will need strong (rock) pegs. It is a large site, very well laid out with some shops and a good 9 hole golf course. The swimming pool was shut while we were there which was a shame especially as it opened on the day we left. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The whole site is very clean and tidy, very well looked after and in very good condition. The golf clubhouse has good quick food and a lively atmosphere. I would thoroughly recommend staying here and it was a great destination for our staycation.

Fantastic getaway, beautiful views, lots to do, food is good and the pool is warm! Kids loved the playground! Lots of toilets and waters stops available. Can't wait to go again!!
If your camping be warned there are no grass pitches only hard standing so you'll need rock pegs a good hammer and a ground sheet!

Tried to book this site many times but always been full. Finally managed a stay a few days ago and it was an absolute pleasure. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The pitches are a great size. Bit of a walk for the water and bins but the site staff do collect rubbish from your pitch when passing. Site facilities all well kept, nice and clean. I personally would have liked to have seen more shower and toilet units, because they were busy and I had to queue. But it was peak season (Aug 22). Onsite bar and restaurant really nice, food tasty and not too expensive. Shop also well stocked. Lots of other facilities on site, which we didn't use, pool looked lovely tho. Fabulous views. Not far from Llangollen and Bangor on Dee. But loads to do on site anyway! I will certainly be booking again. Can't wait!

Just spent a weekend at Plassey on a touring pitch in our motorhome.
Everything about the site is fab, our pitch was fully serviced and a great size. We were tucked away in a corner on Fairway view, nice and peaceful.
Great area for walking the dog onsite too where you can let them off their lead.
Facilities are immaculate. Swimming pool onsite although we never used it while there, lovely cafe too. Grounds are really lovely and everywhere is spotless
We went into The Haybarn clubhouse for a drink , bar is lovely, we didn't try the food though as they had stopped serving at the time we went in.
All the staff were absolutely fantastic and a credit to the site. Wardens were so helpful, from showing us to our pitch to even dropping off a Calor gas bottle to us which we bought whilst there.
We will definitely return in the future

Found this gem of a place whilst searching for touring parks in Wales.
As we are new to caravaning, we didn't want to go to far from our home in Shrewsbury, but so glad we found this place as it is fantastic.
On a arrival the system is so organised that you are guided to your pitch and even offer help to get you set up.
Our pitch was a blocked paved hardstanding with a gravelled area for your awning and a grass surround overlooking the golf course.
I forgot my tap adapter, but not a problem a freindly warden dropped me one off.
The park wardens are great so freindly, with a cheery good morning even on the most miserable of days.
They work so hard keeping the grounds and facility's immaculate.
We would certainly return here for another stay.
5 star resort and 5 star staff.

Lovely holiday park it is spotlessly clean. Gutted we couldn’t use any of the facilities as we both took Unwell 🤧 so we stayed in our motorhome. We will be coming back soon. Just wanted to a big thank you to one of your wardens who helped us with a jumpstart to get our motorhome started when we were leaving.
