A fun theme park for all the family; the new Jumanji area is great- Mandrill Mayhem is an amazing coaster and a fantastic one for those little thrill seekers looking for their first inversion! Recently visited for their Winters Tail event which was nice and festive with plenty to do around the park.

WOW! What a place!
Been here plenty of times over the years but never at Christmas and never with my whole family! Although some of the park is shut for winter maintenance you still have a whole day here. Arrived at 10am left at 6.30pm! Rides, walks, encounters…. And best of all SANTA!

The staff were fab as always and real asset to the Merlin Group! The Panto was a winner with the kids and being just 15 mins or so long meant that they were not bored!

Carol singers around the Christmas tree adding to the delight.

Even the small details as when we arrived I saw an ever so light specks of what was ‘snow’ in the air! I got a bit excited but did check in with a staff member who did say some of the environment may be magic! (Quick check on the weather app and no snow forecast)

All the onsite entertainment for the festive period was well worth the money! Most of which was included in the ticket price.

Chocolates, biscuits, snacks… all goodies for being on the good list being gifted to you… a meet and greet with the big beardy man himself and a ticket to the toy shop!

Take the kids and have an awesome day out at Christmas! (Or any time of year for that matter)

5 out of 5!!!!

Pros: food was good in the pizza place! (Even a Christmas dinner pizza with Brussel sprouts! Yes not joking)
Toilets always clean
Staff able to point you in the best and right direction
Not very busy which was surprising

Cons:
Temp as it all outside wrap up warm
Buggy parks were busy so maybe some better planning

I returned on a Rainy Day Guarantee which is a great incentive that more theme parks should employ. Enjoyed watching the animals just as much as the rides, and with so much to fit in a day your fun is guaranteed. Also liked the free virtual ride aspect for Mandrill Mayhem, to avoid the droll of queuing for 2 hours

Fabulous break with the children a firm favourite for us.
The hotel presented as clean and service in the resturants were to a high standard.
Queries were short as we visited at the end of the holiday season.
Virtual queue for rides were short, and we liked the early morning pass, so we had access to the park for an hour before the general public arrived.
Reasonable prices in the bars, we had the added bonus of discounts with our merlin cards.
The children have fond memories of this venue, so it's a firm favourite with us

As a merlin pass holder, we are regulars at the park. Always enjoy ourselves. Even when busy there is plenty to do. If the rides are busy there is always shows to watch, activities, the zoo to look round and farm animals to see. Love the different seasonal shows they do.

I haven't been her3 since I was a little girl. So to bring my child and make memories was magical. Staff was friendly all around the zoo. Even with the down pour of rain it was still a lovely day. Would recommend so much to do

Our visit to Chessington World of Adventure with friends and our children was a fantastic day out. One of the standout features of our experience was the remarkably short waiting times at the rides. The park's efficiency in managing queues made our day much more enjoyable, especially with excited kids in tow.

Speaking of the kids, they had an absolute blast and managed to enjoy over 10 different rides during our visit. The variety of attractions catered to various age groups, ensuring that everyone had a great time.

When it came to dining, we did visit one of the park's restaurants. While the food was tasty, we found some aspects less practical. For instance, we opted for the steak burger, but it might have been better served as a traditional steak cut rather than sandwiched in a bun. However, overall, the food options available were good, and we had no issues finding something to satisfy our hunger.

In addition to the rides and dining, the short queues at the food stalls and other amenities made the visit even more enjoyable. The park's reliability in terms of managing crowds contributed to a stress-free experience.

In conclusion, Chessington World of Adventure provided an excellent day out for both children and adults alike. With its efficient queue management, diverse ride options, and decent food choices, it's a highly recommended destination for a family-friendly adventure. Our kids had a fantastic time, and we left with smiles on our faces.

Chessington World of adventures is the best place to spend time with your children and educate them about nature and the wild animals. Though much animals are not there still this place is more than a zoo. The thrill of the adventure for the kids with the play area and a wildlife ambiance makes you feel you are in a different environment. It's a wonderful way to hang out together with family and kids. The attraction of the zoo was Giraffe, Tigers, Lions, Aps, Monkeys, Owls and variety of other birds and animals. Water theme animals like sea lion, penguin and a colourfull and well maintained aquarium with varieties of species of fishes. The most entertaining were the playful aps and monkeys, and Owl show. Appreciation to the Owl show staff, well narrated and demonstrated a friendly staff. Elders and children as well enjoyed the show. Visitors are allowed to take photos thus one can capture the time well spent in a wild life ambiance. A best way to spend quality time with family and children during weekends or holidays. Ample parking facility available. We as family enjoyed and it's worth visiting.

We went there on a very busy day. As a family of parents with two kids, we managed to experience different rides. Shame, the waiting for rides was too long but it is worth the wait. We'll definitely go again with the kids.
My 3 years old kid enjoyed the show at 12 pm. My 7 years old loved the vampire ride, it's his favourite rollercoaster.

We really enjoyed our time here. There was a variety of rides for all ages and other entertainment like the sealife centre, the shows and animals. There are always massive queues for the big rides in places like this, be prepared. The food is well questionable though, give that a miss

We went here on the 30th December, was quite busy for that time of year but the longest we waited to get on a ride was 15 mins and that was for the jamanji roller coaster. My 2 year old went on a few rides but she wasn't so keen, first time for her to go on any rides though. However she loved looking at all the rides in the park plus the bonus of the sea life center and zoo as she loves animals. We ate at the pizza and pasta place which was nice and value for money as its a buffet all you can eat. The only thing that I can think of that was annoying is my husband and I can't have milk (intorlence) so we asked 3 coffee stands for alternative milk and they looked at us like we were speaking tongues. Then told us to try a different stand. The last coffee stand, which is in front of the steakhouse, we decided to walk away as the kids serving in there were rude and on their phones, they literally stood and stared at us. Other then that we had a great day, shame the weather wasn't great but it didn't spoil anything and we stayed there the whole day.

Loved the park, much quieter than thorpe park was on similar days. Nothing had too big of a queue. The theming of the rides was great and I also stayed in the hotel, which had a brilliantly close location

Chessington review

Went to Chessington world of adventure Christmas experience with family in December and it was fantastic. Attended the same sort of thing at Alton Towers last year and it wasn’t nearly as good as the Chessington experience.

The park itself was brilliant. Loads of rides open, very few queues for the rides and those which did have queues were short (less than 15 minutes). The Christmas experiences were brilliant with lovely gifts and loads of freebies. The Christmas theming around the park was great.

We stayed the night in the safari hotel in a Giraffe room and it was fantastic. Again brilliant theming throughout the hotel and the room. The check in was completed before we arrived so just picked up the room key on arrival. Room was brilliant, free cuddly toys and sweets for the kids.

Only problem we had was that when we first got to the room it was hotter than the sun and we couldn’t turn on the air conditioning. Rang down to reception and two staff members were up in less than five minutes. Super apologetic, fiddled with the thermostat but couldn’t do anything. They said they will get the engineers to come up and have a look, but if they can’t sort it they would move us rooms. About 30 seconds later one of the staff members was back with a fan for us to use, and then about 30 seconds after that the engineers knocked on the door. They said give them a minute they would go check something. Two minutes and the air con clicked in and the room returned a a normal temperature. All in all from phoning about the problem it was sorted in about 10 minutes.

Breakfast was fantastic, loads of choose and variety, all super fresh. Staff walking around chatting to the kids giving them out more freebies like lanyards. Lovely start to the day.

We attended the swimming pool, all clean and well looked after, big change by room and showers.

All in all fantastic visit and fantastic friendly helpful staff. Would seriously recommend it.

Lovely sunny day out with my kids (my 1st visit). Lots of variety of rides for all ages. Staff were all lovely and helpful if needed to interact and easily spotted around the park. Loved all the rides able to get on especially mandrill mayhem & vampire. Fast passed a few at the cheaper prices (<£10 as £30 ones just silly prices) that we really wanted to go on and virtual queued for mandrill. Photopass was also a great plus. Loved all the themed areas and everyone had a good day. Funny watching everyone come off soaked on monkey swinger. Also really liked the park stayed open until 7pm. Think only negative was feel of the flow of the areas felt more back and forth rather than a loop and gift shops were few & small

Always a fun day out! I'm not a big fan of the Q system on the new rides as I could not get into the Q on the second day! Make sure you buy the Merlin pass as day tickets not worth it but pass is a bargin!

This was one of the best family trips! My boys are 6 and 5 and they loved it. We chose chessington as if they didn't like the rides there were other things to do, see the animals, aquarium or gruffallo etc. We stayed in the hotel and got an extra day in the park free included in the package we booked. The hotel is lovely with gorgeous views out over the animals. The azteca restaurant has an ant farm running along the wall, which my bug loving boys found amazing. The food was lovely and the breakfast was included in the stay. There were plenty of rides for all ages and heights, and as we went on a random in week inset day, there were little to no queues. We have re-booked for 2024 as a birthday treat for our now roller coaster obsessed soon to be 7 year old!

Fantastic family fun. Rides running and not much queuing even without queue fast track. Hotel stay get early access to the park with a selection of ride. (Check these before you go!)

The hotel was clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel food was amazing, and we chose the buffet in the azteca part and weren't disappointed.

Most rides are minimum 1.2m food and drink within the park were at a premium but not the worse I've seen.

Animal Park was clean, and the animals looked in good health and cared for.

For me, it's the best family theme park in the UK. It has the right amount of kid friendly rides, and for adults who want a bit more of a thrilling experience. The park is clean and well maintained. All staff experienced were extremely helpful. Good variety of activities and it's nice they also have animals and shows. Overall, great experience and will recommend to anyone who wants to go as a family
