Sevenoaks Bookshop

A favourite place to visit in Sevenoaks with kids. Excellent book selection and a great atmosphere with unique readers reviews available on many of the books. It's a nice touch, especially coming from younger readers.

There is even a small café indoors with good quality coffee and a selection of cakes.

And of course the staff are very lovely and helpful. It's the best bookstore in the area!

They only have a small display of books in the shops, you can ask them for a book(s)
and they will get it in for you.
They are always so kind, and they give perfect recommendations.

What an absolutely wonderful place. I visit anytime I'm in the South of England. Good books, good people, good hot chocolate. What more can you ask for?

So nice to support a local, independent book shop. If they don't have what you want it can normally be ordered for later collection.

Most charming & friendly bookshop. Even has little write ups on lots of recommended books, books set locally, all sorts . So pretty and a lovely little cafe too which even allows dogs in. The perfect bookshop!

Lovely little bookshop - albeit quite small - but some unusual titles. Really enjoyed browsing and left feeling a bit inspired

Love this pretty store with fabulous coffee and cake.

I needed a book as a birthday gift .
I gave the shop a call to see if they carried it in stock .
After checking they said it wasn't in stock but could get it in for the next day.
I went ahead with the order the following day I recieved a text message to inform me that the book was ready for collection.
Excellent service.
Now , yes I could of got the book online and probably saved a pound or two.
But it would have been in the post so can't guarantee what condition it would arrive in.
It wouldn't have been in a nice paper bag and they wouldn't have given me a complimentary bookmarker.
More importantly unless we support our independent shops we will loose them and that would be such a shame when we have one as good as this.

The atmosphere of the bookshop is amazing- the displays are always so pretty and the inside is brilliantly decorated, with a fantastic variety of books and weekly activities going on. The staff are always lovely, inviting and very helpful and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have such a brilliant bookshop nearby!

Great return after '21, to a local indie bookshop with a friendly welcome and expertise on a range of genres, including writers in translation. The return of lunchtime bookclubs is good news📚

Good selection, knowledgeable staff and some excellent recommendations. Absolutely vital service when getting your kids into reading and don’t know where to start. A local shop I will be supporting going forwards.

Gets loads of awards and plaudits, so when a relative who loves books visited we had to go.. He loved it, the little notes above a lot of the books with notes and reviews was great, really nice touch...

When I was in there two people went up to staff members and asked about a book title and the staff on both occasions knew the book and helped them. Very rare in any shop today... Very well done... Best book shop in Sevenoaks!!!

Oh and the little cafe with free water on a tray very nice...

The cutest, most homely but varied bookshop ever! I would spend all day here every day if I could!
