Was a perfect place to let the children enjoy mini golf, not really a big place but was entertaining and very reasonably priced. Has a nice outdoor play area for the children, a small cafe that serves its purpose. Then two nature trails with amazing scenery. Great place to have a little fun and enjoy the outdoors

Did you know about this hidden gem? Lightwater Country Park Cafe
With the sun making an appearance we decided to venture to Lightwater Country Park, and our tastebuds got to try an exciting new dish at the cafe there.
The cafe is in a perfect location, in the heart of the Country Park, right next to the playground and a beautiful setting for a walk. Please see my review from our last visit.

We were spoilt for choice with the freshly made pastries and cakes. Today’s specialities were poppy seed cake, carrot cake, chocolate chip cookie, cinnamon bun, and an almond croissant. They all tasted incredible and were paired perfectly with a delicious latte - my favourite had to be the poppy seed cake, although would recommend them all 😋
Now my Dad isn’t very adventurous and opted for a Full English, but WOW, look how incredible this was. It was a meal fit for a king, cooked to perfection and made his tastebuds tingle. Seeing the special my Mum and I decided to try this out, sweet potato fritters topped with creamy avocado, a perfectly poached egg and crispy kale for that extra crunch. This dish left a symphony of flavours in my mouth, it was spectacular to look and even more incredible bite after bite.
One of our favourite activities is to feed the birds here, but today there seemed to be lots of seagulls so the ducks and geese hardly got any bread. No idea why so many seagulls were around - nonetheless the little ones enjoyed feeding them

Lovely big place to walk the dogs. Not too muddy, some steep steps in a couple of places, up and down from High Curley, but otherwise fairly easy walking.

Great place for a country walk get-away. Not too far from civilisation yet far enough to enjoy natures outdoors. Some gentle trails for tired legs or you can do circuits on the off road testing trails...Good for the thighs and lungs 😉👍🏻 Night time walks are safe too but as always keep your wits about you as its easy enough to step off the beaten track and twist and ankle or worse.

Our first visit to Lightwater country park was on a sunny winters day. The tracks were muddy and wet in areas, but this is to be expected. Wear waterproof boots! Each trail is well signposted. The cafe was open but we didn't go in. Toilets were clean. There is a lovely rewarding view after a steep climb up the steps on the purple trail. We could see Ascot & London sights!
There is a play area and picnic tables but we didn't use them.
Plenty of free parking on site.

Wonderful place we come here all the time. There are 3 lakes, lots of geese and ducks which you can feed. There is also a lot of other wildlife you can spot. There are various trails you can walk and people come here to walk their dogs and go on runs.
There is also a great playground with equipment for all ages.
There is also a cafe and toilets near the playground for when you need a break.

Good playground for kids up to about 8 I guess. Plenty of parking, mostly in spaces but some on the side of roads. A 15 minute walk to a viewpoint where you can see a fair distance, across to the skyscrapers of London or Ascot racecourse. Paths are well trodden and fine for young kids, just about ok for a pushchair (a bit sandy in parts). Their is a small footbridge over the M3 which entertained the kids for a few minutes with lorries thundering passed.

Beautiful and calm natural place. Lovely wildlife and nature walks through both woodlands and open heathlands, for stunning views of the surrounding areas it's worth the walk up to High Curley Hill summit. Where on a clear day you can see the skyline of London round to Ascot racecourse.
Worth noting there is a small café and restrooms facilities and a playground for the kids at the entrance.

A stunning location for you and your dog. The lake is amazing, and great for a cool off or a dog swim. The woods are great and not too dense. The walk up the hill can be tough so be prepared, and not recommended for older dogs. It's a wonderful view to be rewarded for the steep walk.

We were recommended this place by a colleague of my husbands, we live in Brookwood and now make the drive here every weekend to walk the dog, see photos attached of our dog enjoying her time here. We manage a decent 3 mile loop around the edge of this place and really love the grounds. P.s. the photos are edited, she is always on a lead :) thank you.

Loved this country park, free parking, toilets, good park for the children and nice little cafe. Cafe I found a little over priced so would recommend taking your own food and drink. There were picnic benches too and dogs were welcome. Lots of lovely walks although a lot of adders in the area
