Orchard Campsite, Hendre Farmhouse

Beautiful remote campsite, feels wild but has all the amenities, nice hot showers and great to have a kettle as well. Friendly and welcoming owner as well.

Nice, well kept and quiet. Clean facilities. Even a small kitchen space with kettle, microwave etc.
not a negative thing but noteworthy bad phone service.

Lovely little campsite with room for a few caravans. Brilliant location 10 mins from Monmouth and short drive from Wye valley, forest of Dean and the east Brecons. Lovely owners who work tirelessly to look after the site and make everyone feel welcome from short stay walkers to summer holidaying families like us. Access is via a few miles down a single track lane, so not brilliant for towing caravan, but the road is very quiet - in 2 weeks here we only saw one other car on the road going opposite way. Car park is on sloped grass but they have mats down under the grass and we never had any issues getting on or off field.

Beautiful picturesque campsite, run by a lovely couple. Nice showers and toilets that are well kept. Phone signal is pretty low but you can always find a spot with enough signal to make calls, text etc, and otherwise it's nice to unplug and get back to nature.

Far enough out of the way that you get a great view of the stars at night with your campfire, but still close enough to the local towns and attractions for easy days out. Definitely visiting again!

A peaceful idyll…great for kids. Situated in beautiful a lush valley near Monmouth.
The owner is super friendly and helpful. The other campers were quiet and respectful. The toilets and showers were incredibly clean and followed Covid protocol. We were only here for a night but would definitely go back.

Absolutely adore this gorgeous countryside campsite. We had a beautiful weekend away as a group of friends and enjoyed firepits, the onsite lakes, the friendly owners and all of the amenities. Genuinely the best campsite I have ever been to and a massive bonus that the shower on the campsite was better than the one I have at home. (My shower at home is pretty good too) excellent value for money,well worth a visit!!!!

Mother / son cook your burger . Lovley . The site was great . Great people . They have toilets and showers. Also a sinks to wash your pots . Some other facilities. The children have a park to play .
I thoroughly enjoyed it .thank you . So you really need to try. Can't say any thing about rooms .I stayed in my tent.

The site was brilliant couldn't fault anything. If you want a nice break away with total peace and quite then this is the place. Very family friendly, the owners are really nice and friendly. The showers etc are really nice and clean, about a 10 minute drive from Monmouth centre. Nice little fishing lake, little park for kids. We would most definitely go back again, lovely place

Lovely camp site the showers and toilets are lovely and clean.
There Is a fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and a microwave for all to use.
The owner's are lovely and friendly.

Gorgeous little campsite close to the Wye Valley. Excellent facilities. The showers are nice and powerful and the shared areas are clean and spacious. We loved the ability to have use the on-site alter fires for a BBQ and campfire too! Thank you for a fab stay.

Great place to stay and good value. The beautiful town of Monmouth is 12 minute drive and it has a great modern day leisure centre including family swims.

lovely campsite with great views and good walks, comprehensive facilities (all you need for camping and more!) overall a great campsite that is very well run with kind hosts. everything was clean and tidy. brilliant campsite

Pitch spot 5/5 flat. A near by picnic table to lock my bike to and hang my washing on. Ho and it was also handy to have my tea and breakfast on.
Nice touch – cars can unload & load near pitch but then need to be parked on hard standing near site entrance.
Showers 5/5 Spotlessly clean.
Toilets 5/5 Ditto.
Kitchen 5+/5 Kettle, Microwave, fridge and freezer.
Electric charging point 5/5 Electric sockets in showers and kitchen.
Free Wi-Fi No. BT hotspot at campsite entrance.

Fantastic campsite the owners are warm and welcoming, the facilities are excellent - plenty of warm water and very clean. The grass is well kempt and the lake and apple trees very pretty. Highly recommend

A fantastic site tucked away in the hills in Monmouthshire. Initially peeved that the hook up costs were high but opted out and realised the facilities are that good electric is not needed.

Fabulous campsite, very well run and very clean and tidy. Facilities were so good we only stayed the one night but would 100 percent come back and stay longer.

Great place very welcoming and fab facilities a quite site ideal for families and couples... Stayed here for 3 nights couldn't fault it... The guy that owns it came round every night to make sure all was well with his friendly dog milo... Beautiful views and wildlife... Very hot showers and water a massive bonus and lots of it... Pitches very big if slightly uneven great electric hook up and the fire pit is a must at night because let's face it chap's who doesn't love a good fire at night when the star's are out! Will definitely be heading back at some point we'll done hendre farmhouse.
