Fantastic country park to walk around, very quiet and peaceful. Lots of local wildlife and an excellent lake with view points and decking. A well run parkrun is hosted here every Saturday.

This is an absolutely fabulous park in Norwood. There are beautiful open spaces to walk your dog and lovely paths under trees.

There is a huge lake which is home to many birds and wildlife. Very relaxing part of London.

Can’t recommend enough to spend some time walking here and it is surprisingly quiet.

South Norwood Country Park has nice trails and it generally feels like you could be somewhere out of London. A nice place to go for a walk. It can get very muddy during wet weather.

When I first moved to the area a few people warned me agains the country park but I absolutely love it and have never seen any trouble or anything that would make me nervous. Big shout to the volunteers who help maintain it whilst ensuring it is still wild enough for nature to thrive. A great place for a walk.

This park was remarkable, while not huge, walking around the lake taking photos of the ducks, geese and birds was good fun for photography enthusiasts. I've provided some pictures taken with my Nikon during my venture through the park. Highly recommend for someone looking to unwind and relax.

Fantastic.

A really lovely large park. Children's playground, a massive lake with 3 different piers which overlook it, a viewing mount you can see all around from, and a massive field. Really good for children to run freely, or cycle in.

Fun park with great paths for cycling around. Fairly flat so not strenuous and very quiet considering it's just off of a main road - great little escape after work. Not usually too busy.

This is a great space in general, which I feel blessed to have on my doorstep. In addition to its natural beauty, it is brilliant for cycling and it hosts weekly Park Runs.

Beautiful park and nature reserve in the middle of Norwood. There is s lake with loads of water birds and there are even breeding kestrels, which you often spot flying around. Lovely little hill to watch the sunset and loafs of different paths through fields of wild grass and flowers...doggie heaven!

An easily overlooked gem of a park. An excellent place to jog or walk. Plenty of alternative routes to keep visits interesting.
The large lake tucked in one corner is rapidly maturing and beginning to attract an ever widening variety of bird life.
To sit on the viewing platforms, to ponder, to relax and just watch the birds is ......need I say more.

Great park for an explore around. My two children love it and we have been visiting since they were babies.

The play area and cafe are also excellent!
It's such a fun park to explore!

The Crepes from Queen of Crepes are amazing, I can't wait to try more!!

Love the place and so do our dogs. You'd never know your in South London, well until you hear police sirens and see the police helicopter above you 😉

Not the sort of place you come for that spoon-fed London park experience - queuing for ice cream, manicured lawns, a well stocked shop, disposable BBQs, clearly marked sign posting (though there is adequate) and maybe a duck or two. The beauty of this park is that it is a little wilder, a little more natural - so many different species of bird, a large lake, tall bull rushes, varying scenery, enclosed paths, each season markedly different - you can sometimes walk here and forget you’re in London (until the next 747 rumbles overhead). Early mornings or late afternoons are best when it’s a little emptier but anytime of day this park is a nice alternative to other London parks.

A beautiful park with the lake and playground. Great for walking, birdwatching, picnics, dogs. During winter can become muddy, suitable for wellies :)
