The Alnwick Garden

I went with my 13 year old son. We loved it. Especially the water features hidden in the bushes. We were lucky to see the cherry blossom in full bloom. They had free inflatables on too. Well worth a visit.

I was here with my family on holiday, even tho it was raining it was fantastic all the same. The scenery and atmosphere even on a day where it is just raining is outstanding. The poison garden was fantastic and the guide was amazing and funny and made the experience enjoyable. And the water features and bamboo maze is a must see as well. The cafe is brilliant for a quick hot drink stop. All in all great place to go

Lovely place to visit and see nature at its best. Must go and see the cherry blossoms during the two week window in spring when the trees are waking up from their winter slumber. Wheelchair accessible although some steep incline/declines. WC accessible and cafe and gift shop onsite with plenty of parking spaces. Tree house next to it is also a great place to go. Especially on the wooden suspension bridge and a lovely restaurant too.

Alnwick Gardens is without doubt the best and most diverse gardens that our family have visited. There is genuinely something for every age group and interest.

The kids loved the maze, treasure hunt, fountains and swings in the blossom tree orchard. I thought the tour of the Poison Garden was incredibly interesting, made by the engaging and funny guide.

There is a massive cafe with plenty of sheltered seating, which was useful on a rainy day. The shop is also really big and has a great selection of products.

We can’t wait to go back - five stars!

Gorgeous place to visit! The staff were amazing and I was able to book in a mobility scooter for free which allowed me to get around the park with ease.

There is lots to do in the park and I highly recommend the poison gardens. Our tour guide John Nox was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and fun. He made the experience really interesting and enjoyable and managed to make many of us horrified !
They accommodated a big group of us for a tour as we missed the last one by a few minutes which we were so grateful for.

Beautiful gardens, a must if you are in the area. Kids will love arts and crafts activities, playing with water and learning about plants. The poison garden is very interesting, a lot to learn; there usually is a cue (tours every 30 min) and places fill up quickly (around 20-25 people per tour). The area with wooden swings under the trees is so peaceful. Restroom and restaurant available on site.

Visit to the gardens, late March, just before Easter. Gardens slowly wakening up with spring colour, we did the poison garden tour, and the guide was very informative. Lunch in the cafe was reasonably priced. Had a quick walk around the new Lillidore - such a magical place for children.

We spent the day at Alnwick garden and Lilidorei and it was magical we had the best day together and my kids are older at 10 and 17 we spent the day laughing and smiling and in this completely amazing fairytale world! When the kids are this age it's hard to spend quality time together and here it felt like we were little kids again! I would 100% recommend going! My only suggestion would be go early or late as from about 11 it got so busy was really difficult to properly explore!

Wonderful place. A bit pricey but it is one of the best gardens. Please make sure to visit the poison garden and the free tour. They have them every half hour. Free but full of knowledge and wonder!

we visited the Alnwick gardens a couple of weeks ago with friends.
As you can tell from the photos we had a glorious morning weather wise, chilly and crisp but blue sky and sunshine.

My husband borrowed an all terrain wheelchair for me, which was firstly amazingly comfortable, unusual as any chair user knows, the tyres dealt with the various surfaces exceedingly well.

We visited the cherry blossom and the walled garden, plus via the water features on the way this time.

Really enjoyable until the rain started sadly, so we will return again another day.

Visited on a Saturday. Second time going and had been previously a number of years ago. I feel they are improving the place even since the last time I visited and felt like there was more to see this time around. Really enjoyed the informative Poison garden and the host was very engaging.

I'd forgotten how nice this place is, we enjoyed a full day here!! with children or without this is a lovely place to come and wonder around and relax. The children loved getting soaked so I recommend a spare outfit in the car at least.

A beautiful place. I have always wanted to come here and see the cherry blossom in bloom. It did not disappoint! There was so much beauty to see, a very relaxing day.

We went for the Poison garden tour and we were not disappointed. The rest of the grounds were more engaging than most similar attractions.
If you have kids or just like the fae then lillidori is a must visit , plan to be there for hours as it is simply amazing!

The entry ticket for a single person was 18.50 Pounds. The Garden has different segments to explore and take a stroll around. The most beautiful part are the Cherry blossom section. The other interesting segments are the Poison Garden, the serpent garden and the bamboo labyrinth.

Great place to spend a few hours walking around the outstanding garden. Plenty to explore, plants, trees , water features, etc. Cafe on site too.

Fun for the whole family, enjoyed the mini golf and all the water features were great combining nature and science. Cherry blossom season was beautiful, so luck to have visited in April!

A great place to visit, annoying you have to pay by card to park, cash should be allowed aswell. Missed the blossoms but the gardens are fantastic, along with the maize and great to learn about the plants in the poison garden

This was such a delightful day. The kids just loved every minute. Beautiful setting and super clean and tidy. So much for the kids to do and the staff were all amazing.

Absolutely loved our first visit here...super friendly staff...and if you ever visit the Poison Garden is a must see big shout out to the awesome guide Tom he made it all so interesting thank you 😎🤘💚😁
