Summerhouse Surgery, Downs Way Medical Practice,

Had to change our GP in hurry as we were in the wrong postcode for support after my wifes stroke 3 weeks ago. Receptionists were polite and friendly and once they noted my wife circumstances they prioritised her registration, I as a lone carer am more than grateful for the way we were dealt with as new patients, thank you so much.

I moved here since begging of the year and i chosen this surgery, even i seen the reviews. I said to my self:"what can be worst than my previously one?"
If i could give one millions stars, i will give them with all my hear, as they deserve. Always, very prompt to respond at my queries on Econsult, always they answered me to my questions, the explanations are very clear, my appointments and blood tests or consultations always in time and at highest standards and a very polite staff. Also, i had a very good experience for my son' s issue.

I think the practice is great. All the on line system and new app is a much better way of obtaining GP support. Covid does have some positives by resetting the way we obtain healthcare.

I was transferred from SummerHouse Drive surgery to Summerhouse Surgery, Down Way, I've been very well attended there they care about the well being of their patients, very helpful staff, the Dr. give me a phone consultation wich was extremely good, I felt that he cares about the well-being of his patients,

This is an excellent surgery with great doctors and reception staff. Obviously it has been a difficult time during and post Covid but this surgery have risen to the challenge thank you .

They manually turn off e-consult system when they reach capacity for the day so if you can't get on the website there is no point in trying. Better luck at 8am.

One very rude morning staff, don’t know her name. But the 3 stars are definitely for the afternoon lady on today helped me so much just just lovely east to talk to, wish I could of give her 5 if it wasn't for her team mate, doctor was nice too.

Dr Payne a so called professional hang up on me because I said the letter ihanded in this morning for dr rupal have only spoken to him twice and find him extremely rude and unprofessional

Joined this practice in the 90's and it was exceptional but sadly over the past few years it has rapidly declined - unable to get through in the morning and when you finally do, no appointments!!!! If you ask for any assistance regarding hospital referrals, medication etc you get "you'll have to complete an e consult" thrown back at you by the extremely "charming" reception staff. The partners seriously need to review how they conduct business and stop hiding behind the now antiquated COVID policies and guidelines regarding patient conduct and care - I will now be registering elsewhere where hopefully I'll receive a more personable and helpful service.

I went in to transfer GP surgery, process went smooth, they told me to call them back at the end of the week to make sure my registration was complete. I called on the Monday and was told that my details were not active, then the lady just hung up on me/??

Can't get through on the phone. I need my anti depressants and just can't get them.

Wow after being with this surgery just over 2 years, I had my first visit to see the doctor today. My experience was far from satisfactory. He forgot to do my blood pressure test and then decided his printer was more important than his patient due to it not working.
Thanks for all your efforts I hope I do not need to go back for at least another 2 years or more hopefully.

This practice doesn't even deserve 1 star. You can never get appointment. I have an ongoing issue which needs regular blood tests couldn't get them. Appalling. The old practice in Summerhouse Drive which were my doctors for 34 years puts this practice to shame.

If NHS did Jekyll and Hyde, this practice would be its HQ. You have a 50/50 chance of getting a nice receptionist or an outright rude older lady. To top it off the Dr will also berate you for not purchasing medical equipment to check yourself (isnt that their job?) as they say its "impractical" for them to do it.

The words of my Dr was "Why cant you afford a BPM machine if you are able to smoke?"

Needless to say, I just left hospital due to an ailment, lost my job due to said ailment, then had this ingrate of a Dr berate me for essentially not being able to do her job for her. I hope she is sacked and looses her medical license people wonder why the NHS is crumbling, Control freak Dr's like this are more of a hinderance than a help.

The old practice on summerhouse drive never was like this and increasingly seeing more and more people talk of similar stories just highlights how bad this branch/practice is. They deserve every bad review they get.
