After getting lost in the fog and clouds as it was getting dark at the top of the last peak of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, I managed to trace my steps back down to the bottom of the mountain. I was worried as I was the only walker about and didn't know what to do as my car was parked in Horton miles away. The pub was closed when I got there so was starting to panic, but saw people in the kitchen window. I knocked on and they told me to come in. The family all came to say hi and were lovely - they ordered me a taxi, got me a drink and chatted to me till it arrived. Lovely people, lovely place and I don't know what I would have done without them!

What a gem, feels so untouched by the passage of time. Well worth a stop off for a drink and little look around. Sits on between Wernside and ingelbrough mountains if your on an amble over the peaks so a great break spot.

It was fantastic to return to this legendary pub (now staying in a motorhome), nestled between the slopes of Whernside and Ingleborough. Now much quieter than in its former glory (though it is only January), it has lost none of its character and charm. We received a very friendly welcome by the landlady, who was extremely helpful throughout. It's a basic site, with EHU, water and a toilet emptying point, all for £20. The beer is lovely, unfortunately opening hours and food were limited, as the host was not too well.

Stayed at the old Hill inn for 3 nights in the glamping pods. From arrival on the Friday afternoon until departure on the Monday morning we had a fantastic time. Nothing was too much trouble from this family run establishment. Bean and her staff were so kind and friendly and made us feel at home. A well stocked bar and food that was out of this world and cooked to perfection makes this a very special place. I would not hesitate to stay there in the future when we next visit the area. Well done to all the staff.

Great place to stay. I was made very welcome by the host who served up the best food for dinner. A great location if you're looking to do the Three Peaks Challenge!

Lovely traditional pub quite but seems like a good place to get around for a meal & a few drinks while walking in the area, will stay one day, as its very near to many walkable mountains & veiw points.
Its in a good position

We stayed in one of the clamping pods, these are behind the Old Hill Inn with amazing views of Inglebrough and the valley. The pod was clean, comfortable and very practical with everything you needed - toilet, shower, sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery. The pub was perfect to have on the doorstep, the food here was absolutely delicious and the puddings were amazing 🤩!

We stayed overnight on the camp site and ate in the pub. The food is amazing and they were the best deserts we'd had in our lives - but then the chef is an award winning patisserie!! Camp site with amazing views of both Ingleborough and Whernside with easy access to a mix of walks in both directions - including to Ribblehead Viaduct. Clean. Friendly. Would stay again.

Just wanted to say a massive thankyou. Yesterday after running the 3 peaks I found myself without enough water. Fortunately after descending Whernside I came across The Old Hill Inn. The owner was very kind enough to fill my bottles.
A Couple of people where sat having a meal and the food looked/ smelt great. I'll defo return next time, in not such a rush, to sit down for a meal and beer.
Thanks again!

This is one lovely old pub, with Fantastic owners. Plenty of room for people who want to camp and right on the doorstep of the Three Peaks walk.
A great selection of Gin and the food is great.
Highly recommend this place, and what a view this little place has.

The only time I wish I could leave more than five stars! This place is absolutely great and provided us a great base for our Yorkshire 3 peaks jaunt.

We stayed two nights and enjoyed a few pints in the bar accompanied with food that was perfect in every way! The breakfast was just as delightful and Bean truly couldn't do enough for you to make sure you had everything you needed. If you're reading this and are planning a stay, make sure you ask if you could have a chocolate indulgence dessert... trust me!

Very excited to return here for many years to come!

Stopping for a quick pint when 19 mile into the 3 peaks challenge is a must. A pint of Guinness is a great little calorie addition for the last climb

We stayed in there Caravan and Motorhome site adjacent to the Old Hill Inn. We had our evening meal there for 2 nights. The food is first class, and the hosts were very warm and friendly. 5 star service.

Very friendly pub, very nice and helpful staff, with a great vibe, lots of hikers stop by after or during their three peaks challenge so it certainly is a must! The only downside is they don’t serve food but for residents only, but the ale enjoyed on the green lawn outside was great nevertheless :)

Stayed in the motorhome park. Nice quiet night perfectly located for summiting Ingleborough.

Pub has a really nice old feel inside.

We just returned from a two night stay at the Old Hill Inn and we didnt want to leave! Bean and her team were incredibly hospitable and made us feel completely at home. The food was amazing and the room was absolutely beautiful with a super comfy bed. We ended up returning from our Three Peaks challenge at gone 9.30pm but Bean still accommodated us for dinner which we were really grateful for. We'd give the Old Hill Inn 10 stars if we could. Thankyou for having us :)

Just got back from a two night stay at the old hill in and we already can’t wait to go back, I did the three peak challenge in the Saturday and they were so helpful and caring. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely gorgeous everything from homemade bread to lamb shank to sticky toffee pudding! We loved the stay just wanted to go back again!

Splendid pub, quirky and lovely interior design (complete with dresser) with pleasant conservatory and outdoor seating. Beautiful setting and views.
Friendly staff too. Not the best beer selection however. The food looked very high level although I didn't try any.

The welcome we were given could not have friendlier. Our bedroom was spacious and airy, with lovely views of the countryside and, in particular, Ingleborough. We were booked in for Friday and Saturday night but, on Saturday, decided to book in for an extra night, which they were able to do, thank goodness. Breakfast was delicious, cereal and cooked breakfast available along with toast and beverages of choice. As for the meals, we booked a table for each night, they were superb, well cooked and the quality of ingredients was brilliant. I only managed a sweet on the last night but it was well worth it. I had the chocolate indulgence, mmmm, I was so glad I did, not only did it taste wonderful it also looked wonderful. I cannot praise this place too highly, we will certainly go back. Thank you to all the staff, we were made to feel special. Forgot to mention the ale, Timothy Taylor's Gold was just that.
