Booked this pub for 30 people to celebrate my birthday after a day of walking. The manageress was so accommodating and helpful. All the food came out promptly despite there only being 1 chef, and the waitresses were really attentive ensuring everyone always had a drink.

The food was really good…all home made and tasty with good sized portions.

I’d definitely recommend and we’ll definitely go again next time we’re in Ingleton!

Thank you x

Had lunch here. When for the roast beef and Yorkshire puddings. Was all delicious. Not sure why there are roast potatoes + mashed potatoes + sweet potatoes all on the plate. Perhaps a carrot or two are needed to avoid potato overdose? Decent quality food either way. Service was quick and efficient and staff friendly. Toilets clean. Kids menu available.

Just been to the Craven Hiefer in Ingleton. Went to watch football and were entertained by both staff and locals. Haven’t been in as good a local pub in a long time.

We came there just to eat and both the service and the food were on spot. I've ordered fish and chips, haven't had such good chips in a long time, just like at home! The owner was very accommodating, nice and attentive. I would highly recommend the food!!!!

Booked a room very last minute, Lynn the owner couldn't have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful, stayed over one night as we were due to go on a hot air balloon ride, unfortunately this was cancelled at the last minute. No problem with the room very clean and had everything we needed, will definitely be staying here again if we're in the area.

We stayed one night at the Craven Heifer and really enjoyed it. Very nice lady and the pub is very cozy.

I also give this review as a small compensation of the obvious vile reviews of the same group of friends that all reviewed before me with a single star. It says very clearly you can't eat food bought somewhere else on this premise.

Highly recommended for a good drink and pub food, served well. We have a Bed & Breakfast and suggest that our guests book for dining in advance so that they know they've a table and always give us positive feedback for the normal menu and Sunday roasts.

Friendly and prompt service. Food tasty and good value.

Ignore the recent one star reviews - they didn't mention they were asked to leave for eating their own food at the outside tables - there is a notice outside.

Whilst staying in our Motorhome near Ingleton we decided to visit the Craven Heifer in the village and what a find. The landlady Lynne was very welcoming and couldn't do enough. The meal was first class my wife and I had Gammon, egg and homemade chips and lasagne. Now we have had this meal before in other establishments but never to this standard,we would not hesitate to return.

We visited this pub whilst camping in the area. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the friendly front of house staff. The food was delicious and there were clean plates all round! We enjoyed our meal so much so, that we returned the following two nights.
Would highly recommend - very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the steak pot pie with crunchy triple cooked chips and the fish and chips. The staff also put the football on for my hubby.
Thank you all at the Craven Heifer - we will be back!

Stayed for the Fellsman last weekend. Friendly staff and landlady. Super convenient for Ingleton. Shame that the food had stopped but this seems to be a problem across the town. We ended up with a kebab as the only place serving after 8pm. Comfortable bed and clean no frills room. Good value for money

Lovely food , and amazingly friendly staff, called in after waterfalls walk on Mother’s Day with my children, couldn’t have been made more welcome . Lovely little Mother’s Day gift and Prosecco too.
Lovely thought 😊

Called in on the off chance at tea time and was welcomed. We were allocated the last available table. Friendly landlady and staff. Good atmosphere. I had the tagliatelli which was very tasty and the rest of the family had scampi, cod and chips and child's chicken nuggets. All cleaned up their plates. Would go again.

Possibly the friendliest restaurant I've ever been to! We had been for a walk up to Thornton Falls and were starving on a cold wet afternoon by the time we got back to the village. The waitress who served us was very polite and friendly, a couple who were already eating made the effort to talk to us about how good the food was! The manageress also chatted to us. Another waitress who was beautiful checked we were happy with the meal it made us feel very welcome. The food was great too. Hospitality in the North is the best.
