Bar Los Granaínos (Cala de Mijas)

Love this place! Big fan! Ate here twice. Super friendly staff. Even if your Spanish is imperfect. Feels like where the locals go for food and drinks. Had menu of the day which included seafood soup as a starter, grilled sardines for main and dessert. Included was wine/other drink and bread. All for 10 euros. What a bargain! And the food was delicious! Will come again next time I’m in Mijas. Oh, by the way, it’s not on the most touristic part of La Cala, which I personally like. It feels more authentic. Yet there are always plenty of dining guests so there is still ambiance.

Today we enjoyed the Menu del dia, including rustic pork stew, cuttlefish and baby hake, plus bread, drink and dessert for only €12..

Perfect little restaurant, 1 road back from the Beach! very friendly attentive staff that call you my family! Nothing is too much trouble. Great food and drink. Lovely atmosphere and always someone to chat to. very clean, very reasonable. Our go to for lunch on holiday.

Family-run tiny restaurant serving homemade dishes with fresh fish and seafood. Great deal on dish of the day, today we got olives, bread and with garlic yoghurt sauce, seafood paella and fried cod with fries for €10. Insane value for money, while the food is actually great quality. Definitely saving this place for the next time we’re around!

Great place very friendly staff . We had calamaries, mixed fish plate , swordfish,mixed salad and finished off with the cream layered cake which was lovely. The house white was good as well at 10 euro a bottle 👍

The best kept secret in la Cala de mijas. On a residential street this restaurant is a gem. The food is excellent as is the service. The guy who runs it is a delight and the are very family/ kid friendly. Don’t Mia this spot.

Proper local restaurant. Very welcoming with bread, olives, chorizo and nibbles on arrival. Good portions at reasonable prices and clearly cooked with love and care. I had the pork loin and the roquefort sauce (recommend the great waitress) and it was fabulous and only beaten by the homemade cheesecake. Definitely a great find and I would recommend a visit.

We have been going here for about eleven years. The owner Miguel.and his wife are friendly, lively people. They treat is like family! Book if you want to be sure of a table.
The menu del dia includes any beer, wine or soft drink, soup (homemade) or salad, followed by any of the amazing specials. You can also ask for any meat to be breaded and fried.
All includes olives, bread, crisps, salsichon or chorizo... can't be beat. Plus as Miguel says "you don't like, we bring something else." Amazing locals place the Spanish adore too. Definitely a winner if all the Spanish go there.

Very nice and origen Spanish food. All home cooked and an amazing menu for 10€ incl drink and bread.
Fresh fish and if you want something that's not on the card - you just ask for it.
