Saint Bartholomew's Church is located in the midway to Königssee. This building adding more to the beauty of the area. An ancient building which gives a majestic look.
It is midway point where tourists can spent time and enjoy the beautiful Scenic Views. Boats reach and leave this area after every 15 minutes.
Beautiful place and strongly recommended for tourists.

Roman Catholic Church on the western bank of Königssee. I read somewhere, it’s floor plan is similar to the shape of Salzburg Cathedral. Nice and different architecture with onion domes and red domed roofs.

I visited in mid april - pros: the clouds and ice top of the mountains made the most breath taking scenery. Cons: cable car and obersee was closed. Tip: you must take the ferry trip or it means you never have visited konigssee at all. It made a memory for life.

St. Bartholomew's Church near Konigsee Lake is a hidden gem of architectural marvel and natural beauty. The church's stunning red onion-domed towers stand out against the backdrop of the majestic Bavarian Alps, creating a postcard-perfect scene. The interior is equally impressive, with intricate woodwork, ornate altars, and beautiful stained glass windows. The peaceful atmosphere inside the church is enhanced by the serene surroundings. Visitors can take a boat ride across the crystal-clear waters of Konigsee Lake to reach the church, adding to the sense of adventure and charm. It's a truly magical place that captures the essence of Bavaria's rich history and breathtaking landscapes

The most beautiful nature I have ever visited ❤ Enjoy the mesmerizing nature scenic with the boat ride to the church! Only 1 restaurant on the island, so make sure to grab a seat before it get too busy around lunch time, most outdoor seats are reserved by tourist groups! Great food with sunshine and peaceful atmosphere ❤

Very beautiful church located beside beautiful lake. It is a picturious place. It is the first stop from the lake Königssee entry point by boat.

Many people visit salett first and then visit this place while returning.

It's the area over just the Church. Stunning location, peace and serenity deep in nature. Witnessed three very small avalanches from a far which was lovely to behold (No dangers and warnings not to go off on your merry way up the far away peaks!!)

Wonderful scenery, take a walk along the cute small coast. Make few pictures , old fallen trees lying there makes the moment authentic, and on the second plan shining mountain tops makes you
Feel special , worth of visiting

The view is spectacular, not to mention the addition of this red roof church in the picture. I went there in April so I think it's okay in terms of the number of tourists. The boat already started to go to Salet and it was getting warm so this could be a nice time to visit. You may want to wander by the lake but the restaurant might not be as good as you think. Well I mean of course you can sit down and grab a coffee and enjoy the view before boarding. But I just don't think it's necessary to go there to have the red trout since most restaurants on shore have that too.

This is an absolutely lovely spot. There is a beer garden that has great food except the pasta. Sitting in the coolness under the trees with a view of the lake and this beautiful church is a slice of heaven.

A must try boat trip, with amazing view. The boat ride is with a German guide, he will also provide you with a written guide in many languages. You can walk to beautiful spots once you are on the side of the church.

I would highly recommend this place. Nestled amid the magestic Watzmann mountains, this place offers amazing views all around. There are marked paths for trekking into the surrounding forest. One of these paths leads to an ice cave, locally known as Eiskapelle. I would definetely suggest a hike up there but be sure to come in your hiking shoes as the terrain is rocky up there with snow even around Spring time.

Lake, mountains and forests - one of the world’s most scenic places - a sail on the electric powered boats are a must to get to the lakeside church area. Beautiful.

The church itself is a little lovely temple. It's a place of pilgrimage. What make ut absolutely outstanding is its surrounding. To get there you need to take boat. There is a mountain trail there but according to its discription is very difficult and long.
The church is situated on the lake coast. It's surrounded by mountains. There is a nice 30 minites tours around the place. There ae also others trails - longers. Near the church is a nice stony beach. It's allowed to swim in the lake.
To summarize - the trip there is a must however you'll spend probably 5 minutes of your trip in the church itself.

St. Bartholomew is a catholic church and it is located in the banks of the Königsee. There is a boat pier next to St. Bartholomew church and boat service has a stop over point here. Entrance to the church is free of charge. The location is surrounded with natural beauty of the Königsee and Bavarian Alps. This is known as a hidden gem of architectural marvels and natural beauty. Great Location.

This church is completely surrounded by greenery and mountains, so the white walls and red dome stand apart when you approach the church from the ship. Electric boats take you to this small beautiful church passing through the huge Königssee.
There are a few hiking trails around this place, the smallest round trip starting from 30 minutes and the longest being 5hrs.
There's a beer garden behind the church for ppl who'd like to be relaxed.
