Really great tasting curry, spicy as ordered. The burger was also amazing could taste the good quality beef.

One of the best burgers I have had, and the best food I have had in Berchtesgaden! A absolute must have to visit when you want to eat in this beautiful town!

I have ordered Apfelkuchen and have never eaten something like this cake in my whole life. It was unbelievably tasty. No words to describe that. Also, staff is so friendly, told us what can we see in Berchtesgaden and restaurants has awesome ambiance.

Truly fantastic food for the price - the chef has a deft hand and a good palate for flavors. This qualifies as fine European fare (with some fusion) but at good value prices. You won't regret it! We had the Barbary duck and beef burger, and both were really good

Really good food! The price is very reasonable for the quality (e.g. lunch menu €9.90). I had a salmon cooked to perfection. The second time I had the chicken curry. Very cute place in the back with a nice garden!

Excellent change of pace from traditional Bavarian food. Curry is spicy and warming; French fries are expertly cooked.

We had Wiener schnitzel and hamburger. Both were excellent. Chocolate dessert was great also. Recommend sitting on the back patio near the water garden.

Perfect restaurant to stop in for lunch on a rainy day. The food was creative & delicious while the plating was beautiful. Service was outstanding and we were happy to get a break from classical German cuisine.

Chose this restaurant based upon other travelers’ reviews and it was simply excellent. Don’t expect heavy old-style German food here! Sophie’s Cafe delivers delicious and modern dishes artfully served in a very convenient location. We liked it so much we ate here twice in two days!

We came looking for a more upmarket dining experience than some of the other options in town. Sophie's absolutely was the right choice as the wine selection was excellent and we enjoyed all of the food we had. As a bonus to the food, we found it all to be very reasonably priced, considering the quality.

The service was also very prompt and courteous. We would certainly stop here again in the future as this was undoubtedly the best meal we had in the area.

Impeccable service. Food was 10 out of 10. Same goes with their drinks. Wide variety to suit everyone. Highly recommended.

Our experience at Sophie’s Café was really excellent! From the warm welcome to the plate everything were awesome!
We loved it cause it was not heavy German food, (but no worries if you still want schnitzel, they have it but in a more fancy way) services was fast, and all the waitresses got a good communication btw them. We went for dinner three nights in a row so yeah! Definitely loved it!

Excellent restaurant. I had the vegan appetizer and 1 of the vegan meals, and it was delicious. Definitely one of the few upscale restaurants that serves vegan food that I know, yet still very well priced.

MUST GO!! Sophie's Café was the best food we've had in Bertchesgaden. The service was so fast our heads spun. Sophie herself was our server and was absolutely pleasant, kind, and professional. Now that I think about it, it's the best food we've had in the last 6 months in Europe.
