Konditorei & Café Buchwald

Very delicious cakes. The Konditorei has made a name for its Baumkuchen, so definitely worth a try. The interior design is very warm and welcoming, feels like sitting in your grandma’s living room. The place gets very crowded though, you may need to have some patience to get seated.

I loved the "montrate" cake. I don't remember the name, but it was delicious!!!? The best one. The service was suuuuper outstanding as well... After lunch it is crowded but they are fast and you can order at your table.
3 cakes and 3 drinks (coffee, tea and cappuccino) was 23$ everything.

Nice cafe by the Spree River. We dropped by for coffee and cake. I liked the Art Nouveau interior and the cake was really tasty. I had a Black Forest cake here, and it was really yummy! I would love to try other cakes too.

I’m not a German but I’ve had lots of Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (black forest cake) growing up and this is hands down the best I’ve had

My husband and I came here to share a traditional german dessert and we were not disappointed! The Baumkuchenscheibe has a subtle taste and goes perfectly before the Sacher that has a rich chocolate taste.

Amazing authentic German cafe. A large variety of amazing cakes made fresh everyday. Prices were good as well. All around a very nice experience. Honey cake recommended!

Delicious! We tried three cakes including the famous Baumkuchen and everything was absolutely perfect. I would recommend everyone to go and try their assorted baked goods. The coffee was nice as well and its in a great location. Its a really lovely spot

It was my mom's first time visiting traditional German cafe and we had the best experience! Kind staff with excellent service and comfortable vibe at the cafe made us want to go again.

The taste of cake and coffee was unquestionably good, we devoured it as it was the best I have tried in Germany for a year.

And my mom usually has a headache after sugar, but due to some magic, she was good and happy without any headache :) I guess cakes here had just a right sweetness.

Apparently this is the oldest pastry shop in Berlin. Well worth a visit.

Let's start from staff which is very friendly and smiley. The cakes are very delicious and tasty like at home. Nice coffee. Place is realy worth to have a coffe break with a cake.

It supposed to be the oldest Confisserie in Berlin in a city where good Confisseries are hard to find. Huge selection of cakes and coffees, professional service and out of the top classic decoration. A must in Berlin.

Old-fashioned in the best sense, pleasant Café with great cake selection. Sitting outside is cute, inside it's a time travel into grandmother's home, if you're western European of the upper Bourgeoisie. From the history of the place, the hospitable service to the cakes and outdoor area - this is one of Berlin’s treasures.
The baumkuchen is delicious and the Black Forest cake is a different take on the classic. We loved our afternoon coffee and treats.
The season special of baumkuchen with ice cream and Berry compote is amazing. A fruity way to comfort your sweet tooth.
Definitely a place for many repeat visits.

Wonderful cake shop with very fair prices and friendly service. Their specialty is their Baumkuchen, which they serve all the year round. It is much, much better than store-bought, industrially produced Baumkuchen. They also serve many other delicious cakes though. What they offer on any given day changes. You will have to come and see and be surprised.
