Nice place where you can find everything in one place. There are lots of shops for shopping and eating. Here you can find the weekly market and kids ride. It's near the train station. Recommend this place for shopping.

Super atmosphere, many people during evenings. Felt a little bit safe because of the police’s presence. Many popular shops. Amazing clock showing time all over the world. Many talented musicians and artists.

A very large square in Berlin .
A big shopping mall called Alexa is there with lots of shops and food options . Alexanderplatz has access to buses , tram and metro . There are not that many cafes but plenty of food places. It is walking distance to a nice street ( Mille ? ) . Not far from museum island .If you are going to stay in Berlin , Alexanderplatz is very central …

This place is one of the hub for shoppers ! With the TV tower being the show stopper one can find a lot of restaurants here and places to shop, ranging from clothes to souvenirs this place has it all! My favourite restaurant and my top Döner place it’s all here! There is also a movie theatre for people wanting to enjoy a movie so basically one stop for everything !

Beautiful attractions and plenty to see but a little chaotic. It's still a great place to go and look around.

Definitely a place to visit if you are in Berlin. It's mainly a shopping hub with lots of stores around. There are several restaurants too for grabbing some food however, those are not the best in the city. The TV tower (one of the most famous landmarks in Berlin) is also situated there. There are also lots of street performers entertaining people.

The light festivals is on right now and it lits up the city. Every night is New Year Eve you have street performances, people singing dancing freely and just chill around to watch the light shows

This is happening shopping area with a lot of things to do. Many festivals and events always keep happening. I would argue though on whether this is good area to live. I personally felt that there are not many grocery stores nearby.

Great place to chill out though.

It is already close to 23:00, the hot red wine selling is not close. Definitely a business center of Berlin.

The Alexanderplatz or “Alexa” as it’s known in Berlin is a fascinating confluence of history and modernity, where the architectural legacies of the former DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik or East Germany) blend intriguingly with contemporary structures. This square, bustling with activity, offers a unique visual narrative of Berlin's turbulent past and its dynamic present.

One of the most striking aspects of Alexanderplatz is the visible contrast between the stark, utilitarian design characteristic of the DDR era and the sleek, modern buildings that have risen since the reunification of Germany. This juxtaposition is not just architectural but also symbolic, representing a city that has continually evolved while acknowledging its complex history. The Berlin TV-tower is omnipresent.

The proximity of Alexanderplatz to the former Karl Marx Allee is significant. This grand boulevard, lined with monumental Stalinist architecture, serves as a poignant reminder of the area's past under East German rule. The historical DDR buildings along this avenue complement the narrative that Alexanderplatz tells - one of ideological shifts and changing eras.

Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or just soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of a major European city, Alexanderplatz is a must-visit. It's not just a public square; it's a living museum, a testament to Berlin's resilience and its ability to embrace the new while respecting its past.

It's iconic. Maybe not to stay, but as a modern central hub, giving a view to both sides of cold war Berlin, it's a place to visit. The TV tower is fun, buy tickets in advance for a great view.
