It was our first dinner in Prague. Restaurant Pod Věží is local cuisine with a French influence, a bit more upscale. And we loved it.
For starter, we had snails, and roasted piglet belly. We liked the piglet belly the most. Crispy and well flavored.
For main, we had pork knuckle, duck leg confit, trout. All were good. The pork knuckle was such a big portion!
For dessert, we had apple with ice cream, again, very good.

The best meal I had while in Prague. Had a recommendation from a friend and they knocked it out of the park.
The staff were very professional, polite and made sure all of our needs were attended to.
We had the romaine heart salad as a starter, the special for the night which was a beef strip loin cooked to perfection, the rolled chicken which was melt in your mouth perfect, and a very refreshing chocolate tangerine sorbet.
This is an absolute must visit, very convenient off the Charles bridge but not over packed.

First night in Prague after 17 years and I stumbled into this incredible gem of a restaurant.
You have to come here if you’re in Prague, simply the best food on this euro-trip.
Beer tartare was easily the best one I’ve had in the world.
We also ordered the piglet chop for starters, it was tender and delicious.
Mains were duck confit and lamb belly, both were cooked to perfection and seasoned just perfectly. The lamb skin was crispy with a soft fatty meat hidden underneath.
Of course Frank our server was the kindest and most responsive, we had just a perfect time.

The food was top draw the staff were amazing taking their time to talk through the dishes. Would highly recommend right next to the Charles bridge and very reasonable price wise, don’t miss it!

I was in Prague 8 years ago and found this place, even left a review on tripadvisor on how good it was. Long story short, I came back to Prague with a mission to come back here, and the food and service haven't changed one bit.

This place has become very special for us, and it is worth coming back again and again. It’s our third time in Prague, and we always visit this amazing restaurant—we couldn’t be happier. However, this time something went wrong with our reservation. When we arrived, we discovered that the table wasn’t reserved for our chosen time slot. Nevertheless, the situation was resolved very quickly, and the hostess found a table for us even though it was full of people. Thank you so much!
For starters, my husband had duck liver crème brûlée (which I loved), and for the main course, he had caraway duck leg confit. I opted for snails as a starter and grilled deer loin as a main. I requested the deer loin with mashed potatoes, and it was such a good combination for me. The sauce in this dish is very distinctive, and the meat was cooked very nicely. I highly recommend trying this dish; I was very impressed!
The service was top-notch. We had a waiter, Martin, who is very knowledgeable and professional. I hope this place maintains the same high-quality standards in food and service—it is truly one of our favorite restaurants!

Absolutely the best meal I had while in Prague. Service was incredible, professional, friendly and accommodating. I ordered the whipped goat cheese starter and the deer goulash off of their lunch menu. Restaurant is small but cozy. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Felt very welcome from the beginning. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to squeeze us in. Food was delicious and the team were excellent! Nice music, nice atmosphere, nice people, nice wine and of course nice food.

Absolute gem🤩 Randomly discovered this place and had 2 dinners in a row. To all the mushroom lovers the risotto is a must try, so good! Appetizers, stakes are also delicious.

I recently visited Restaurant Pod Věží with my partner on our trip to prague. We are huge foodies so were hoping for something delicious and that is exactly what we got. We thought the prices were extremely reasonable for the quality. The presentation was beautiful and the flavours are up there with some of the best we’ve had.
The service we received from Frank was incredible, he paired our steaks with a beautiful local wine that was delicious and talked to us about the local wine region which was very interesting to know.
We loved it so much we came back on our last night!

The decor of this place is quaint and neat, with cream-colored brick walls and arches, complemented by soft lighting and candles—clearly a reliable European eatery. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, and 2 bottles of sparkling water; the portions were quite generous, and we couldn't manage dessert.

Garlic Butter Roasted Snails

Found this restaurant while out exploring. One of our best meals of the trip. The deer is amazing. My wife and I really enjoyed the whipped goat cheese and my wife enjoyed her wild boar beef cheeks lunch special. Food was fantastic and service was great.

Very cozy restaurant, we were 7 people and reserved 2 weeks prior to arrival, the table was big and fit us all well. The service was great and the food was excellent, very local options with great presentations and taste 😋 definitely worth the visit!

Amazing place! The food was great, they have a lot of good wines as well. We tried 2 starters, 2 main dishes and dessert. Everything was perfect. This place doesn’t seem touristic at all even thought it is located in one of the most touristic places in Prague ;) not forget to mention wonderful staff. We really felt there like at home :)
