Smíchovská Krčma

Mostly visited by locals, it’s a small cozy place, where the waiter speaks little English, yet tried his best to understand us, and knew when I asked him what was the traditional plates they have. As I had read that Czechs have borrowed goulash from Hungarians and adapted it to their cuisine, that’s what I chose. It was so so good. Plus the waiter’s kindness surpassed the language barrier. They also have vegetarian options. Děkuji!

Seems rediculous to go to a restaurant in a different country and expect to understand the menu or even get help. We didn't pay attention to that worst experience review. Just used our Google translate and had an excellent meal in a nice garden. Authentic Czech experience and good value. I saw someone eating what looked like similar goulash for nearly twice the price nearer town.

Great local restaurant with a lovely summer garden, tasty local food and very good beer at low prices. We ate here three times and never been disappointed. Very nice owner and staff, fast service.

Hidden gem of a place mostly occupated by locals (especially on Mondays) with inner block seating area with grass and really good food.

I expected the food to be alright as I heard good things prior to coming, but this place really surprised me.
Don't expect high cousine, but the Czech classics they will serve you will be really fresh and well prepared.
3 beers on tap: Pilsner Urquell, Kozel 11° and Gambrinus 10°.

Hidden in Smichov is this amazing little tavern, offering great beer,great service and brilliant food for a fraction of the the price you'd find in the city centre. Whenever I come back to Prague, I will definitely be back here.
