Little late on the review, but this was my first restaurant I popped into on my solo trip to Prague back in October 2023. This place is just my style...traditional and full of locals. I made a little mistake and sat at a reserved table, which I didn't see the sign, at the table was empty, so I sat down. The waiter yelled something at me and I essentially understood the little Czech I know 😅 and he told me to move from there. My bad. Just got up and moved and all was good. The beer was great and so was the svíčková. Would definitely go back!

Having traveled from France to Prague, I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurace Karlův sklep. The ambiance of this place truly captures the essence of Czech culture. The food was authentic and delicious, reminding me of the rich culinary traditions of Europe. The staff was courteous and made sure we had a comfortable experience. One of the highlights was the central location, making it easy to access after a day of sightseeing. However, it can get quite crowded during peak hours, so I'd recommend making a reservation. Overall, a must-visit spot in Prague!

FAVOURITE CZECH RESTAURANT IN PRAGUE! We've been here a few times and it's the best svíčková and kuřecí řízek I've ever had. The service is friendly and the waiter is patient with my Czech 😎 great beer, food comes out fast, traditional Czech pub atmosphere. Also, try the želi a křen salát 😍😍😍

We were on the lookout for some authentic Czech food beside of all the tourist places. The restaurant is located on the lower floor with a few spots to sit and dine. The waitress was very friendly and their lunch offer came up with a soup and a main dish. Both were very delicious and surprisingly cheap. Around 7-8€ for a full lunch menu with a big 0,5L beer. This seems like a nice spot when craving authentic food.

Great place to grab a beer and enjoy a pleasant dinner. The food is very tasty and fulfilling, the atmosphere is pretty nice. Definitely recommend the fallow deer leg, you'll fall in love with the creamy sauce

Good local food and very good value. Service is casual but good. The setting is the traditional pub feel, and is generally quiet but sometimes locals could talk loudly

I really liked the taste of goulash and cheese. The waiter was really nice person. Beer was tasty. Portions are really big for this price. ;(music inside the place is also nice) Recommend 10/10

Had to come back for supper after the most delicious pork lunch I had during my stay in Prague. Just fantastic taste, really affordable everything, perfect service and nice atmosphere! In general, this is exactly what I expected from Czech cuisine. My deepest recommendation!

We enjoyed the traditional Czech food called Smazen Syr. The server guy was very nice to us and he explained the menu in English as we do not know Czech. The fried cheese was delicious. The sauce (Tartar made with Czech mayo), salad (like coleslaw) and the baked patato were all super tasty as well.

We stopped here out of convenience for a late lunch at 3p which is a slow time. We were quickly greeted with fast service. This was good traditional Czech fare. Good food and beers at reasonable prices.

Food is very good for the price you will pay. Cheap beer prices and fast service. Everything you need for a solid dinner 👍

My father is from Prague and recommends this restaurant to everybody going there. It's location is quite central and the food is delicious. The price is totally fine and they have the best raspberry lemonade I got in Prague so far. Also our fried potato chips with garlic cream were freshly fried and therefore warm, so 100% recommend!
Awesome value and nice staff, it's very original czech and authentic food and drink. The cold white cabbage is exceptional, so is the svíčková.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my food thoroughly and can recommend it. The room is a bit spartan and personally I'm not a huge fan of having a TV running in a restaurant (showing ice hockey), but whatever. I liked the place.

It's the place where we'll sure come back when we visit Prague
