Cafe ebel

Located close to the busy Astronomical Tower, it has been the gem of our trip.

The reviews do not do justice; welcomed by smiley staff, you have plenty of selection drinks and you can also select the beans that you would like to have in your coffee.

The quality of the beans are amazing and the selection of pastries it’s outstanding. A 10/10.

The place is quite small, with only two tables to sit down if you are lucky but it’s great to have a coffee to go and enjoy a walk around the city.

The location is not wheelchair friendly.

Wonderful little coffee place. The owner Jose was very knowledgeable and friendly. Other staff were very kind. The hot chocolate (both the 53% and 70%) were delicious! Limited seating, so go off hours in case you'd like to sit rather than take away.

High quality products. Best hot chocolate of my life. It was very like a liquid chocolate bar. Staff is very nice too and the shop is small but charming. Perfect for a short and tasty break

I came here from a friend’s recommendation and stayed here for the coffee and the corgi. Very good flat white and good gingerbread roll.

Not sure how I ended up here, I’ve searched best cafe near the old square and I’ve learned that this cafe have coffee beans from all over the world and offers variety of delicious drinks and chocolate cake the reviews are all here. I walked from my hotel to find this cafe and oh I’m glad I did, I ordered a slice of chocolate hazelnut cake and hot chocolate. The barista was so kind and patient as I was trying to decide what to drink, feel bad because I probably gave that difficult customer vibes. I really wasn’t I was just tired. She is very good spirited and probably gave me a great amount of positive energy.
Service was awesome. The dining room was clean cozy and the smell of coffee was pleasant. I shall be back again!! The hot chocolate just got me hooked.

Great coffee in a great location.
Really friendly staff and cozy ambiente.
However, staff was a bit slower than expected, since they were 3 people and it took them around 5-10 min just to take our order even though there was only one more customer before us. Coffee came fast and as already mentioned it was a great one.

My favorite coffee shop. The coffee here has a very rich flavor, taste amazing and has beautiful aroma. I love the coffee scent when visiting this shop. Also they sell a big variety of sweets and they are delicious. The people here are very nice and friendly. What I need to also mention is their hot chocolate drink.. The Best hot chocholate I've ever tasted! We're always visiting this coffee shop when we're in town. I would totally recommend

The two female servers at this establishment are simply incredible. So helpful and did a wonderful job. My hot chocolate tasted so good. I shed a tear when it was all gone. I suggest you try this location out. You won’t be disappointed in the service or the beverages and sweets they have.

Saw this place recommended on someone’s blog and gave it a try. I can say this is the best specialty coffee place I’ve been to in Prague. The coffee they served had a very rich and pleasant taste, with fruity notes and aroma.
I Also recommend their home made chocolate with caramel inside, it’s delicious! The place itself is small and cozy, and the barista ladies really know what they are doing. Would definitely visit again if I’m in the neighbourhood.

Super cute, unpretentious café! Beautiful selection of high quality tea, and the raspberry kolac was very tasty. I'm not a coffee drinker, but it looks like this is a spot that's serious about their coffee too!

Very nice coffee shop. The koláč was the best in Prague. The shop itself is small so can feel super busy when there's only a few inside.

Tiny but lovely spot for coffee or tea on a busy street. If you are lucky to find a free table inside, enjoy your drink there. It is very beautiful.

Privately owned cute café that gives a great contrast to all the starbucks… in this world.
Excellent coffee and selfmade cakes and little sweets. I had Kolač and a cappuccino.

Highly recommend!

Cafe Ebel, located on Kaprova Street in Prague, is a true gem in the heart of the city's Jewish Quarter. From the moment you step inside, you'll be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with cozy seating and a friendly staff.

One of the standout features of Cafe Ebel is that they offer kosher coffee, even during Passover. This is a rare and wonderful treat for those looking for a delicious cup of coffee that meets strict dietary requirements. The aroma of the freshly brewed coffee is simply heavenly, and it's clear that the beans are of the highest quality.

While Cafe Ebel's baked goods are not kosher, they still offer some of the best treats in the area. From the flaky croissants to the decadent chocolate cake, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The pastry case is always well-stocked and the variety of options is impressive.

In addition to the delicious coffee and baked goods, the service at Cafe Ebel is outstanding. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and always happy to make recommendations or answer any questions you may have.

Overall, Cafe Ebel is a must-visit for anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming cafe in Prague's Jewish Quarter. While their baked goods may not be kosher, the fact that they offer kosher coffee during Passover is a testament to their commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. The coffee alone is worth a visit, but the baked goods and atmosphere make this cafe one of the best in the area.
