We went there after we heard about if on one of the Honest Guide videos. And we were very happy with everything. It is an unpretentious restaurant, and although it is very big, and we were there during the week, almost all the tables were booked. So our suggestions is to book the table in advance. The food options are limited, but food was delicious, served hot and fresh. We liked that they have a kid's menu, and they give out coloring crayons and sheets. It was a very nice experience.

This one is a must when you're in Prague, to taste local dish, Pork Schnitzel in particular, can't have enough of it.
They also serve beers, ciders and the most interesting is the 2cl spirit they serve in shot glass. Cherry Liquer is fantastic!

I bet this place is loved by tourists as well as locals.

The coziest and friendliest pub/kitchen in Prague! We only came here for lunch but the food was just fantastic and affordable.

Chicken/Pork schnitzel were excellent with a fantastic potato salad.

Tripe soup was amazing and if you like fried cheeses, the fried Edam is delicious.

Best part is, the sides and sauces are unlimited, so you can ask for more potato salad and tartar sauce if it’s not enough!

The menu changes daily so you might not have the above but I’m sure it’d be good!

This is a place you can't miss. The food is traditional Czech cousine and it's delicious. Good portions, good service and nice environment and everything at a very cheap price.

Lokal Dlouha is the perfect spot for a hearty, authentic Czech lunch. Their Hungarian goulash was absolutely delicious - the meat was tender, and the sauce had a wonderful depth of flavor. The dumplings were the perfect accompaniment. We also had the chicken salad, which was surprisingly generous and fresh. And of course, you can't go wrong with a couple of dark Kozel beers to wash it all down! The atmosphere is lively but not too rowdy for lunchtime. We'll be back!

Great experience. You need to walk in and go to the middle bar and put your name on the waiting list. You can order a beer and sit in the saloon area until called. We had pork and cabbage, sausage and horseradish and pork schnitzel. All were great. Our server was excellent as well.

This place is definitely something else. No wonder it has so many good reviews. Exceptional traditional food, good service and great beer!
Prices are also hyper accessible and it's more than a bargain to get all they've got to offer.

It’s famous for a reason! All the dishes we took were delicious. Schnitzel, herring and mixed sausages. They said the potato salad thay went with schnitzel can be refilled for free but the initial portion was so huge that we didn’t ask for refill. Of course good beer and good price for quality. We didn’t make reservations, just walk in, put you name on the waiting list and they called you when table ready. We came for lunch around 1pm and waited for only 5minutes. There was space to wait inside, you don’t have to queue outside in the freezing cold :)

P.s.: If you have the opportunity to order the Beef tartare, ask for the tartar sauce and combine those on your bread.

A delicious local and authentic place. Can be really busy but we went earlier in the evening. We had some amazing beef tartare, snitzel, fried cheese and meatloaf. I highly recommend it for its authentic approach.

It was busy when we arrived but we were offered drinks and the wait was not long. We tried 2 mains and a starter between 3 of us. All very nice and they offered extra sides (but what was on our plates was adequate!).
Great beer and cider and the grapefruit soda was very refreshing. Thoroughly recommend

Excellent service, no waiting time no difficulties. Interesting interior design, good to experience.

Chicken soup was really good, the meal was decent and deserts are good enough.

Beer, on the other hand, is amazing. They bring it very quick and cold.

Great place to have Czech food. The beer was good, and the beef soup was nice and hearty but not overly salty. The goulash was decent portion and had a nice flavour. The bread dumplings complimented the meal well, was doughy enough where you could dip into the goulash. At this price point nothing to complain about, would definitely recommend.

Massive venue, went twice in our time in Prague. Has a method for putting name down and waiting in a waiting room (beer is available.

Free refills of sides was much appreciated cleaned up 3 sets of dumplings to finish the goulash.

Second time we visit a Lokal restaurant and the food was really good. We got two soups one with beef belly which was nicely prepared but too strong for me. The "triple soup" which was light and nice. The ham with the horseradish sauce was amazing and also the beef. By now I can say they Lokal stores in Prague are interwoven with quality.

This restaurant felt very authentic and the atmosphere was great! It’s basically a beer hall with a limited selection of food. The food itself isn’t world class, but it’s fairly priced and the portion sizes are generous. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy a beer or three!

Huge restaurant, very welcoming, room for everyone with dishes even in the small hours. Had just arrived at Prague and hungry in almost midnight and was able to have a beer with some decent food. I loved the place and there's a lot of locals eating here too, as prices are great for this quality. Would recommend.
