We stopped here for lunch and had a great meal with tasty Czech beers. This felt very authentic which is what we were looking for. We tried the traditional fried cheese and chips which was very good. Service was friendly and fast and the beer was cold and delicious. Prices were very good also. Highly recommend visiting if you are in Prague.

Very good simple and very much affordable Czech dishes and beer near Kampa island, not far from Ujezd and Petrin funicular bottom station. Daily menu from Monday till Friday until 15:30, then the standard menu applies. Still, you can eat beef gulash with knedlik or fried cheese (3 sorts: hard, hermelin-camembert style and niva-blue cheese) anytime. For česnakova soup you have to come in the late afternoon or weekend, though. There might be queues outside of the venue during peak hours. But it's worth waiting 15-20 minutes

I found that place on Google maps as local with Czech traditional cousine. At The first moment you see the basement but after that you feel like you are going to someone house. The place is very nice and with local atmosphere with very gentle and helpful waitre. I really recommend that place if you want you try traditional dishes and beers and feel the local vibes.

Globally a great restaurant (for a family group)
Positive points:
A . Food. We ordered 1. Goulash (the bread is not white but flavored "garlic" and this gives an original taste. 2. Beef. Great piece of meat with great souce and fresh fries. 3. Breaded pork. nice crusty and flavored with French fries. 4. Fried cheese. to try, it is great.
B. Service: a very nice service, they were friendly and took the time to explain the variety of plates and they reply to our different questions.
C. Price. Great value for money (4 plates, 3 beers, 1 water, 1 coke) it was 1139 corona's (around 53euros). See bill on picture.
D. Place. We saw this restaurant after visiting the Petřínská rozhledna. And the reviews were around 4.5. Nice place maybe a small refresh will be Ok. Very authentic bar/restaurant.

Escape from your fellow tourists. Showed up right at 11:30 and it quickly filled up with the local lunch crowd. Food was excellent. My wife loved the beef goulash and the meat dumplings were excellent.

Been there 3 times during our 4 days stay. That's how good it was. Absolutely perfect beef goulash, amazing potato pancake with shredded pork meat, delicious potato pancake with vegetables, great fried sausage and fresh and crunchy salads. And all accompanied with great drafted beer.

We stopped for a lunch here and the food was great! The waiter was nice even for non-czech standards! We orderd two main dishes and a large beer and paid 421CZK for it. We had goulash that was just a little bit spicy with really good bread dumplings. The other one was pulled pork with cabbage on a potato pancake. It was really nice mixture of textures. The meat was tender and crispy at the edges. I totally recommend this place!

Delicious home made food, very fast service, English speaking.
Located underground and cool atmosphere! We had 3 beers, 2 home made lemonades, 2 times Gulasch and 1 pickled cheese as a starter. A very fair price of ~30€ in total! Definitely recommended!

Very nice authentic restaurant. The vibe great the beer even better and cheap! Potato dumpling. It is not easy to find (its in a basement ) but certainly worth the search). Overal great experience.

Nice place for something nice to eat, draft beer and chat in the cellar rooms. Service friendly, prices given the location very reasonable. For 4 and more People and evening times reservation very advisable.
