We were visiting Prague from the UK. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. Although there is a guide in English it is less detailed than the exhibition boards. We used Google to translate the Czech and it worked really well.

Fascinating museum on the history of policing in the Czech Republic. It's off the tourist trail and I do have a particular interest in the history of crime which is why we went. It would also be fascinating if you are interested in true crime.

Very nice museum in beautiful area of Prague, easy to find. Chronologically ordered from very start of police in area of nowadays Czech Republic, continuing throughout history until today, including both possitive and negative roles of repression and defence of freedom in relatively short history of the state. It may appear small, but you can spent there well over 3 hours. Huge part is its criminology and side rooms about trafic, uniforms or divers. Great experience overall.

This place is awesome.
It was 50k each to get in. The building itself was beautiful. Big wide hallways and tall ceilings. Very clean with white stone floors all the way through.
The exhibits were brilliant and although there were only a few translated into English it was easy to understand what was going on. There are also some interactive exhibits. The one in the traffic room was hilarious!!!!
This would be enjoyable for anyone with an interest in policing or military and especially someone with a background from such.
There were some exhibits which were obviously relevant to the history of the country such as specific murder cases or high profile incidents (I think natural disasters and incidents with bombs etc) it would have been good if these exhibits had a translation to English but it was all still enjoyable.
Unfortunately the garden area was closed which has vehicles and a helicopter on display. These things could be seen however it wasn't a massive loss that the garden was closed.
It took about an hour for us to walk round at a leisurley pace. Set aside more time if you can read the language as everything looked interesting!!!

Very informative!!! They did not have things in English but they gave me a separate pamphlet in English about various exhibits. It was much bigger than I thought it would be.

I assume that this is one of the less frequented museums in Prague, or at least it is unlikely for the first timers to visit. Though most of the content is in Czech only, there exists a booklet in English briefly explaining the exhibition. There is a section featuring the unusual and serial crime in Czech republic too.

Great place! It’s a shame most people don’t know about it. We had the museum all for ourself, there are cars, motorbikes… even an old helicopter! Loads of police uniforms, badges and ID cards. Most of the objects can’t be touched but there is a few interactive activities which are really fun.

Czech police muzeum is awesome, especialy if you go there with children. Entrance fee is low and you can see a lot different police uniforms, weapons etc.

I loved the museum. Nice exhibition, especially for those who are interested in czech police/criminal history. Most information is in czech, would be great to add translation in english.not crowded. The entry is really very cheap, some days the entry is even absolutely free.

Very cool, but be aware that there are some graphic images in the area dedicated to different crimes and approaches to solving them. In addition to the displays, the building itself (an old former monastery) was beautiful. Don't forget to check out the upstairs!

Had not much time to see the whole museum, it has two floors of expositions. But what I had seen was very impressive. If you're not interested in criminology or history you won't like it.

This is a really good way of spending a wet day in Prague. Slightly strange, particularly the drug exhibition, but very interesting. A few exhibits are not for the squeemish. Entry is really cheap. On our visit the outside exhibits were inaccessible, but you could see them through the windows.

Free Entry - Visited on a whim and so pleased we did. Plenty to see and some very well laid out exhibits covering all aspects of Police Work including that of the border guards during WW2 and the Cold War. Well worth seeking out.
