The Story of Prague Castle is the name of a permanent exhibition that was opened in 2004 in the Gothic floor of the Old Royal Palace at Prague Castle. The permanent exhibition will introduce you to the thousand-year history of Prague Castle as a place where the history of Czech statehood was formed. It also tries to capture everyday life at Prague Castle and focuses not only on Czech rulers and presidents, but also on other ordinary inhabitants of the castle. The exhibition features original monuments from the castle's collections, including archaeological exhibits - all exhibits are accompanied by texts on panels and detailed description in both Czech and English. The top adornment of the collections is the armor and helmet of St. Wenceslas from the 10th century, which comes from the St. Vitus Cathedral treasure.

Příběh Pražského hradu je název stálé expozice, která byla v roce 2004 otevřena v prostorech gotického podlaží Starého královského paláce na Pražském hradě. Stálá výstava vás seznámí s tisíciletou historií Pražského hradu jako místa, v němž se tvořily dějiny české státnosti. Snaží se rovněž zachytit každodenní život na Pražském hradě a nezaměřuje se jen na české panovníky a prezidenty, ale i na další řadové obyvatele hradu. V expozici jsou vystaveny originální památky z hradních sbírek včetně archeologických exponátů, všechny exponáty jsou doplněny texty na panelech i detailními popisky exponátů v českém i anglickém jazyce. Ozdobou sbírek je zbroj a helma svatého Václava z 10. století, pocházející ze svatovítského chrámového pokladu.

Probably the best stop in the whole complex. The museum contains extensive descriptions of the castle's history - which mirrors that of Prague's history - alongside a large range of artifacts, some of which are very interesting to look and read about. Be sure to check out the early-midevil skeletons!

Well conserves

Worth seeing it.

Anche questa parte è inclusa nel biglietto del circuito del Castello di Praga che ho acquistato on line al costo di 250 czk. La mostra della Storia è allestita nei sotterranei. Dipinti, vestiti, ceramiche, oggetti religiosi e tanto altro per raccontare il tutto.

Ci sono vari modi per raggiungere il castello di Praga ma vi consiglio di prendere il tram 22/23 e scendere a PRAZSKY HRAD : così facendo non troverete troppa fila e non dovrete fare ne scale ne salite!

Sono andata alle 10:20 e c’erano solo due persone davanti a me!
Arriverete al cortile dove nei info point potrete comprare i biglietti.

Vi consiglio il circuito B (ci sono informazioni in italiano)
che comprende la cattedrale di San Vito, l’antico palazzo reale, basilica di San Giorgio, Golden Lane e torre Daliborka.

La cattedrale è quella che fra tutte merita di più! Fino ad un certo punto si può entrare gratis.
Ogni attrazioni ha dei tornelli, dove scannerizzare il vostro biglietto.

Anche golden lane merita una visita, ma è uno spazio molto stretto quindi si gode di più quando c’è meno gente.
Dopo aver visitato la torre Daliborka uscite e andate alla terrazza.

Noi volevamo vedere il cambio delle guardie nella Hradcany Square perciò siamo tornate indietro (dalla terrazza fate la salita, e arrivate accanto alla basilica di San Giorgio).
Da Hradcany Square abbiamo fatto le scale in discesa e abbiamo continuato la nostra visita nel quartiere Malostranske!

Bardzo ciekawe muzeum ulokowane w podziemiach Starego Królewskiego Pałacu - do których trzeba kupić osobny bilet. Bilet to Pałacu nie obejmuje ich zwiedzania (wchodzi się do nich też innym wejściem). Ekspozycja muzeum obejmuje okres od prehistorii do późnego średniowiecza.
