At the Balbins

We had lunch here and ordered the menu of the day which was quite cheap (~150 Czk). It consisted of a soup, a main dish and dessert. It was a good deal for that price. The menu was in Czech but they have WiFi so we could translate all. By the way, the place look closed from outside as is barely illuminated, but if you get closer you will see that is open.

Traditional dishes, tasty food and large portions. Highly recommend roasted pork (1kg), it's enough for 4 people!

I liked their root beer a lot. I ordered the beef roulade and it was awesome. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is really good. All of the employees are very nice and speak English. The menu is in Czech, English and Russian. I recommend going here and I would definitely go here again.

Great traditional Czech restaurant! Worth to try their pork knuckle and goulash.. it’s superb as well as their beers.

I also love the roast chicken and ceaser salad. The waitres speaks very good English, and the menu has for languages.

Called in to this bar when it started raining on the way back to our hotel on a late Wednesday afternoon to have a drink to wait out the rain.
It was sparsely filled but steadily over our visit it got more people in.
The waitresses were attentive & did their job with a smile, positive energy & good service which gave the place a good feel to it.
Nice & spacious restaurant with a cosy back part.
Decent prices for the drinks but didn't sample the food.

We had a lovely meal( goulash and dumplings , rolled pork spinach and dumplings) with 2 sorts of beer. Friendly prompt service and good value. Would definitely go back. Happy customers 😊

We really enjoyed our meals. Fair price. Good apple strudel. Waiters were friendly and had a good sense of humour. Spoke English. Waiters weren't pushy as we had read on a previous review.

Amazing food and quality home brewed beer. You can pay with credit card and may be able to pay cash in euros (that is what my bill showed). While not the cheapest place in the street, the quantity and quality of the food make it a must. I had trouble (almost) finishing my salad+pork schnitzel+ 0.4l dark beer costing a total of 21 euros.

We were searching Prague for a spot to sit and eat. This joint was unexpectedly on our way! So good! Superb service and the food was awesome, as was the beer!
