When the sun is beating down on you all day, take a break and find some shade in Almendares Park. There is a playground for kids and several cafeterias or cafe type places to eat or get a drink, each with outdoor seating and paths.

It's nothing fancy, the park is definitely not what it once was, and you get the occasional whiff of polluted river, so I wouldn't say its a "must-do " but if you are.in the area, want a break from the sun, and to.See some amazing trees, it is worthwhile to wander down the broken steps just beyond the bridge on calle 23.

You can also rent a row boat to go out on the river but unless you want to just to.say that you did, I suggest waiting until there is a project to clean up the river!

Cute park for kids and even adults. They have mini ATVs, horse back riding, see-saws, slides, swinsg, trampoline. It's dope!

Very gorgeous park. There was quite a bit of trash, but the beautiful vegetation and birds made up for it.
