Casa Víctor Hugo

Casa Victor Hugo in Havana it's a cultural centre which promotes widely understood French culture and French.
There is a small museum, a library (book collection in French), a reading and conference room. It’s a place dedicated to the great French writer Victor Hugo. Victor Hugo never visited Cuba, but he supported Cuban Freedom Fighters during the Cuban War of Independence in 1870. Two letters (facsimiles) wrote by Victor Hugo in 1870 to Cuban Fighters have been exhibited in the museum. The cultural center and museum was opened in 2005.

The original house located under address O'Reilly nr 311, Habana Vieja was built in 1754 C.E. It was a private house owned by the Poey family with French roots.

I did a glimpse inside Casa Victor Hugo in Havana in February 2018. Then, I went for an aromatic espresso at Cafe Paris.

La maison Victor Hugo est en travaux de rénovation et il n'est pas possible de la visiter pour le moment. Jusque qu'en cela en travaux ??? Impossible de le savoir, c'est Cuba
