Hotel Ambos Mundos

We did not stay at this boutique hotel but we had lunch and had a drink at the rooftop restaurant and the 360 degree view of downtown Havana is outstanding! Hemingway stayed here often in 1936/7 and wrote a lot while chilling in room 511. This was my favorite place in Havana. Highly recommend. We will stay here on our next visit for sure.

We had drinks at the rooftop bar back in 2019. For the rooftop bar, everything was great. (We didn't stay in the hotel, just went up to the roof). They had some musicians, and the view was fantastic.

A great hotel with beautiful views in the historic part of Havana. It looks very much like a museum. Excellent very attentive attitude of the staff, many thanks to the girls at the reception for solving problems and the Russian language).

One of the finest, if not the best panoramic view you can have over Havana Vieja. Nice rooftop bar in top of this hotel where you can have a mojito while enjoying this lovely view. The hotel also has some historical feature such as the room where Ernest Hemingway lived. If going to the rooftop, have the experience of taking the stairs to see the paintings and historical figures.

The food, the drinks, the music, the view, all of it was just amazing!! We didn't want to leave, this was one of our favorite places to relax, enjoy, and soak in the flavors, sounds, and views of Cuba!! I could've stared off of that roof all day, the castle is within views and just gorgeous with the water as well!! If you're in Cuba the rooftop at Ambos Mundos is a MUST!!!

Just a fantastic place with such a great atmosphere. Wonderful views of the city from the Hemingway Bar. Excellent service from the very friendly staff and tasty cocktails made with fresh ingredients. This is a must stop place if you are in Havana!

Such a historically significant building, I only stayed for a night but the views are spectacular. Learn basic Spanish phrases- the staff really appreciate the effort. Only criticism is that the plugs in the rooms are the older versions and so you will need different adapters for Havana.

We went here for drinks and views at their rooftop bar, loved it! Visit room 511, it’s Hemingway’s room, where he wrote where the Bell Tolls. They made it into a museum, and you can view the room and see his things, like his typewriter and traveling trunk.

Said to have been a favourite place of Ernest hemingway, and you can tell why... The atmosphere as you enter the hotel is quite uniqe. I've not stayed at the hotel, only looked around and had a drink in the bar at the roof, go there and enjoy the people, the music and the view.

Take the antique elevator or walk the stairs and see the art along the way including Hemingway's typewriter (he used to stay there) to the rooftop restaurant for drinks in the cozy cushioned couches along the walls or for a meal with amazing 360 views of Havana, the fort and the ocean and live music. Good mojitos and tasty Arroz con Pollo Habanese. Quick pleasant service and many moderately priced food options for lunch. Great place to take some pics.

I didnt stay here. Came only to see Hemingway's room. Im glad, Im his fan. I recommend also going to the rooftop. There is an excellent 360 degrees view on Havana. Moreover whaen going down dont take a lift - take stairs, in this way you will see some objects on the walls connected with Hemingway, e.g. his typewriter.

Wonderful rooftop bar and restaurant. The city views are amazing, the food is tasty and the drinks creative and delicious! A bit pricey, but worth it.

Great views from roof top bar. I believe this was the first place to Ernest Hemingway stayed when he came to Cuba.

We have only hung out in the lobby for rest and Mojitos. We plan to return in March to do the same as we are staying at a casa particular nearby. It will be our HQ for meetings and refreshments.

This is the famous Hemingway hotel in Havana. Try their daiquiri, it was also Hemingway favorite drink there.

Very cool 1930's hotel with great rooftop bar. Amazing views and phenomenal pina coladas. Recommended!

I've spent maybe 10 hours on their terrace, haha. Super comfy sofas, great views and really good drinks!

A must stop if you are a fan of Hemingway. The rooftop bar is a great way to waste an afternoon while sipping on rum.

Get at least one mojito or piña colada on the roof top bar, sit down and enjoy the view. Very pleasant place and decent prices

Old fashioned and unique hotel. The views from the bar at the top are stunning.
