Havana Dream

Our stay at Havana Dream was great. It is smack in the middle of the old town of Havana, with its hustle and bustle. Great location. Bars and restaurants are minutes away.

We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room was quaint and nice, the bed was comfortable and the wifi was stable. There was also enough storage room to unpack both our suitcases.

A huge plus was the minibar filled with sodas, water and beer, restocked daily. The room was cleaned every day as well. Impeccable service.

They also arranged transport from and to the airport.

I can definitely recommend this place.

Havana Dream is unassuming from the street, but the tranquil, comfortable space was our oasis in the city. The room was clean and comfortably air conditioned, and the laundry service is very attentive. Patricia is the best hostess, and helped us with cars and recommendations. The hotel is within easy walking distance of all our destinations in Old Havana. The balcony of our room became a favorite place to sit and watch the city, with the dome of the Capitolio to the right and the old Prensa Libre building to the left. Be aware that the hotel is accessed via three flights of stairs.

Together with my wife, we are writing to express our utmost appreciation for the exceptional service that we received from Patricia Jiménez during our recent stay (from the 27th of April to the 30th of April 2023) at Havana Dream hotel, in La Habana, Cuba. We had the pleasure of being guests at this hotel for four days and we must say that we were thoroughly impressed by the level of service provided by the hotel’s manager, Patricia Jiménez.
Throughout our stay, we were treated with the utmost respect and kindness by Patricia, who made sure that every member of her team, from the administrative staff to the housekeeping crew, provided their best services as well. The facilities were immaculate and well-maintained, and we felt well taken care of and truly at home.
We could not emphasize sufficiently the amazing service provided by Patricia, who went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Her attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile truly made a difference and exceeded our expectations. Patricia helped us with recommendations and guided us through Havana, especially since it was the first time for us being there. The place was indeed perfect due to the manner in which Patricia handled all our requests on what to do, where to eat, what is best to visit, she is really the most valuable person you can have at a hotel. Her answers were quick and on point, it was like she knew in advance what kind of breakfast we would like to have, the type of music we would love to listen to, the kind of restaurant we would prefer, that also has the atmosphere, view and exquisite food.
We have encountered many hotel managers and hosts during our travels over the years, but we can honestly say that our experience with Patricia Jiménez as manager of Havana Dream hotel was one of the best we have ever had. We have no doubt that it is Patricia’s hard work and dedication which contributed greatly to making the hotel a top choice for travellers.
My wife and I would like to thank you again for an unforgettable stay, and we look forward to visiting any hotel managed by you in the future.

Havana Dream is a well appointed property in a great location. We had a fantastic stay which was greatly enhanced by the Manager Patricia. Patricia is so friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. I would certainly stay here again and I will be recommending the property to friends.

If you want to stay in the heart of the real Havana, stay here. It’s safe, it’s authentic and it’s very clean. It’s like an Airbnb - not your traditional hotel. Plus, this is a private for profit business so you’re supporting Cubans directly, not their government. We love our host, Patricia, she will go out of her way to help her guests, whether it be accompanying you to the bank or giving you a private architectural tour.

The only thing you need to ensure is that you have enough real cash (CAD, US, EURO etc) to
Make your stay in Havana more pleasant. Their local currency is meaningless and rarely accepted. If you withdraw money from the bank, you get 0.20$ on the dollar - thanks to cuban government policy.

We chosed this place for the authentic cuban experience, the rooms were clean, prettier than in pictures, breakfast was good and Patricia made the whole experience perfect. She will make sure you have the best experience there and help you when you need.

It is a real taste of Cuba situated right in the middle of central Havana.
We stayed for 6 days and had a wonderful time. Cuba is fascinating and if you are considering whether to visit or not then now is definitely the time to come where you will see the real Cuban life.
Back to Havana Dreams, this is stunningly beautiful accommodation which has been created by the owner Ventura. The rooms are immaculate, and the staff are amazing. The knowledge that Ventura has about his birth place enables him to guide you in what you wish to do and he will arrange it through the people he knows and trusts. He will negotiate a price for you and you deal with that person. He will look after you.
Let us assure you that you feel safe in Cuba.The people are kind and very friendly.

We booked this place for our 3-day visit to Havana and it was perfect. Clean, chic and well-located. Our room had a lovely en suite, a cute balcony and a comfortable bed. Patricia (the manager) was a delight - full of knowledge, tips and ideas. Pointed us towards all the good local eateries (none of which disappointed) and helped us book taxis and Ubers even! Above and beyond.
Perfectly located for the main sites in the old town, and felt safe walking around the neighbourhood even at night. Would highly recommend!

Estancia en la Habana Vieja inmejorable. Limpio, ordenado, con desayunos espectaculares, Wifi (a 2 CUC la hora). Respuestas por mail previas a la estancia en escasos minutos, impecable.
Mención especial para Nancy, la dueña. Atentísima y amabilísima.
Como única pega a tener en cuenta, acceso por unas escaleras algo empinadas y estrechas.
Muy recomendable, si volvemos a la Habana no dudaremos en hacerlo otra vez con Nancy.

Personally, this was more like 2 stars for me, but it is strictly because of my personal preferences of having more quiet for a longer period of time at night. The casa is renovated, modern, and well-appointed. The manager is so sweet and tries very hard to please. The location is great for lots of museums. Now for the reasons for a lower rating. The location is noisy...loud music until 3am, barking dogs and shouting neighbors resume at 6am and throughout the 3 hours of "quiet time", about every 15 minutes someone with a little handmade cart would go pulling stuff down the street. If I were a little younger and drank a lot more, I might not have noticed so much, but it was impossible to sleep. We heard the same from others who stayed there. Plus, there was no wifi or TV which the latter would usually not matter, but I am from Houston and the Astros were in game 6 of the World Series that day! Excellent breakfast on the rooftop and rooms are only one flight up which is not always the case for casa particulares with no elevators in Havana. You will experience more of real Cuban life around you than if you are say over by Plaza Vieja so there are plusses if you can take the sleep deprivation.

It’s an scam. Majority of the photos are from other high-end hotels. This is NOT a Hotel, it’s a Hostal in the ghetto… with only few very small rooms & terrible view. it’s perhaps the worst I have seen…
