Hostal Balcones Muralla

The nicest group of hosts ever! Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally good food. The staff was incredibly attentive, more than any hosts during our full stay throughout Cuba. The place is cute as can be. As for challenges, I would say the beds were really stiff, and some (not all) of the rooms can hear the loud downstairs doorbell when guests arrive late at night.

My husband and I am from Turkey, we chose Cuba for our honeymoon destination. I can say that Hostal Balcones Murallas is the best place you can stay in Havana. It is very close to touristic locations you can walk easily and believe me with this hot temperature and humidity you need to stay close to not walk so long 😅 From the check in, which was really fast and easy, to check out they took really good care of us. The hotel is in the neighborhood so you can really feel the Cuban life as the streets are always alive. Also it is really safe there is a person waiting for you 7/24. First Esteban greeted us with welcome cocktails, best in town :) than he explained us the city roads, where to go and eat. When we came back in the evening Orlando greeted us he is so friendly he made us daiquiris, also best in town 😍 The breakfast was so good. We got the chance to meet the owner, he was so friendly as well 😍 the rooms were very clean, toilet was very clean and new and the rooms have Air-conditioner which is a must ! We glad we stayed there.

Jesus and Orlando were excellent as well as the breakfast ladies, but most of our stay Steve was taking care of us.

He did an amazing job of making us feel at home here. Although the city itself was a little overwhelming, being able to come back and relax at Balcones Muralla allowed us to recharge and get a break from the rest of Havana when needed.

Steve was so friendly and helpful with all of our questions, friendly and personable, and really made our stay awesome.

He also made us what we both agree was the best mojito we've ever had, better than any of the others we tried in Havana by a mile!

We stayed in Havana for three nights, and picked a brilliant place to stay. In the middle of 'Old Town' and easy walking distance from most of the main sights.

A very quaint place with high ceilings and quirky decor.

The breakfast was lovely and plentiful, and the service was outstanding. Thanks to Frank, Rolando, Tony, Juana and Jordania. You guys made our stay all the better.

There is a bar under the hotel (not belonging to) worth a visit.

Also it's worth sitting on the balcony to watch the old Havana street life.

All in all, a great place.

Such a nice and cosy hotel in the heart of Havana. The building is a refurbished colonial house, very well taken care of, full of amazing details, tidy and clean. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was honest and delicious, always with attention to the details. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, we had the pleasure to get to know them a bit more and exchange interesting stories. Will definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so special ❤

We had an incredible stay at Hostal Balcones Muralla. The staff was so kind and welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our time there special, making us breakfast every morning and even teaching us how to play dominos. The room was clean and the AC (bedrooms only, not in common areas) worked well. The decor is beautiful, and the hotel is located in a very central location in Old Havana, making it walking distance from some great bars and restaurants. We would love to return!

Cute little boutique hotel, well situated in the heart of Havana. Staff is overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast gives you a good start into your Havana day. Rooms are clean. Compared to other places a bit pricy. Recommended!

What a gem in the heart of Old Havana – truly a “home away from home” with an amazing energy and a wonderful atmosphere!!! From the second you enter this beautiful boutique hotel, which is full of charm and character with its antique furniture, you feel taken care of by its warmhearted employees. The team is absolutely incredible; they make you feel welcome and comfortable throughout the entire stay, bringing in the heart and the passion for service and the good spirit :-) A place to slow down and relax, to let go and enjoy the simple things in life!!!
It has been a wonderfully unique experience that I can only recommend to everyone staying in Havana – you will get an authentic experience with colonial charm in a place that just perfectly combines the warm hospitality of a family and the luxury of a small boutique hotel. The breakfast is absolutely breathtaking (Be ready for a yummy surprise!), which you can enjoy peacefully while chilling on one of the elegantly decorated balconies and feeling the good vibes of the streets below you in the heart of Old Havana :-)

Stayed here only for one night but their hospitality, their attentiveness, kindness and level of service has no equal in Cuba to my mind. Best breakfast I've had in Cuba and in general for a long while! If you're staying in Havana, this is THE place for your stay, would stay here again without a second thought.

Хороший отель, правда- это стиль колониальный. Были вдвоем с мужем .Центр Гаваны. Вежливый персонал, красивая комната , есть всё, что нужно. Завтрак 5*! Спасибо, рекомендую .
