At an almost hidden location. Not easy to find, but this was best meal I had in Havana! Such tender lamb shank! Still think of the flavor. The restaurant is full of details, so as the owner, full of stories.

This was luckily on the street that I was staying, a kitsch, kooky and interestingly designed place with great food, drinks and staff. Named after an old movie starring Jane Fonda and Gregory Peck, there are numerous posters and nods to the movie, making for lots to look at. It is a bit pricey but the mojito was up there with the best, the tamarind pork dish was simple but delicious.

We tried several different restaurants in Havana and this was one of the better ones. It is kind of hard to find - it's actually on Calle 21 between E and F, and in a basement, but once you walk through the doors you'll be glad you found it! Entrees are slightly more expensive ($20+) - we got the country fritters and steak and red wine sauce - very good!

Un restaurante acogedor, familiar, con las mesas necesarias para sentirte a gusto, sin aglomeraciones. La carta es variada, con platos de la cocina criolla más creativa. Es fabuloso y su servicio impecable. TOTALMENTE RECOMENDABLE

Buena comida, lugar bastante acogedor aunque pequeño, el servicio de la mesera bastante deficiente, el dueño un tipo genial. Recomiendo la langosta enchilada.
El local fue visitado por Oswaldo Guayasamín en los años 90.
El nombre del local está inspirado en el libro ‘Gringo Viejo’ de Carlos Fuentes.

No encuentro la foto del Menu con los precios la pueden publicar voy al Vedado en Septiembre pero no veo los precios????
