Le Chansonnier

This was the best meal we ate in Havana. It was not an easy place to find, but worth the effort. Lovely ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious food.

Highly recommended! A very nice restaurant, you have to visit this place, the food and the atmosphere were incredible! The food is french but also international, I loved the Vegetables musaka (Lasagna made by layers of eggplant with sauteed vegetables and cheese) but I advice book beforehand in alamesacuba dot com, a site thata permit to book online if you are planning the trip to havana, it has all the information you need about eating outside.

Wow. This paladar (private restaurant) is amazing. Beautiful restaurant and whoever designed the interior has great taste. Kudos to Patrick and Hector (Swiss/Cuban owners) for running a tight ship, super friendly guys who come by often to check on things so say hello if you get the chance. High ceilings, great artwork, funky/nice bathrooms, a little patio outside (where I dined), and extremely friendly and attentive staff. I enjoyed everything I ate but the marinated octopus was the show stealer. My server Angelica (congrats on graduating law school if you're reading this) was superb and made the meal and my evening very enjoyable. She even gave me a recommendation for a nice rooftop lounge (Cocinero @ Calle 26 y 11, say hi to Sunny) that was really cool. To those who say food in Cuba is bland, I say do your homework and ditch the tourist traps. The paladar scene is obviously where its at.

Excelente sitios para desayunos y brunch. Ambienta agradable y acogedor. En las tardes de sábados y domingos música con DJs invitados y excelentes tragos y tapas. Happy Hour de 5 a 7pm.

“Le Chansonnier” es mi restaurante favorito en La Habana.

Tanto para el almuerzo, con esas entradas buenísimas y auténticos platos dignos de un restaurante francés como los huevos con mayonesa, los tomates “échalote”, como para la noche, con terrinas de conejo y un milhojas de berenjena sublime y en plato principal conejo a la mostaza o pato a la pimienta verde.

Fui en grupo con amigos y nos dimos un gran banquete, disfrutamos de esta mezcla entre el sabor de Francia y el calor de Cuba.

Además el ambiente y la decoración son muy chic.

Muy agradable lugar con gente muy amable.
