Definitely a Highlight of the trip I went with “The Pillars” and was able to try 3 different Rums for 600 CUP ($2.50 USD), it included a nice guided tour around talking the distillation process and the history of Cuban Rum.

I would walk past in the morning to reserve a time for your tour in either English or Spanish, walk around the city and then come back.

Remarkable experience explaining the heritage and evolution of arguably the best rum in the world. Friendly staff, great tour (not too long or short) and unique spot. 10/10 recommend

A very nice experience, especially for beginners. Real Rum Lover should buy the most expensive tour, there you can create your own blend! Worth the money! Tourguides are very good and friendly.

They only accept cuban pesos and you can choose which experience you want (all less than 1000cup) all options include the tour of how historically rum was made. Then he explains the different types of rum. The difference in price is what kind of drink experience you want at the end: I chose a cocktail, partner chose the tasting session where they give you 3 aged rums to compare. Cheapest option is 1 rum at the start and 1 at the end. Would advise you pay a little more as the tasting was cool. Then you leave via the shop where you can buy cigars and rum. They also have a bar which I don't think other people realised so we got drunk for an hour after smoking and drinking. Was a great time! Also one of the only places open on a Monday. The tours only happen certain times of day so check in advance.

A small and well decorated museum where you can easily learn the history of rum! The entrance fee is 7CUC per person and it includes a free tour guide who explains you everything about the rum. The tour takes about 40 minutes. At the end of the tour there are free shots of rum which you can taste too! Next to museum there is a gift shop where we bought 2 bottles of rum at a very low price...

For those who dont have the patience for exhibits about arts and literature, here's a topic that might catch your interest - Rum. Cuba is known for its rum, and Havana Club shows visitors why. The tour last approximately half an hour and takes visitors through the history and process of making Cuban rum. The best part: there are samples at the end.

Amazing. They have English and Spanish tours. I did the Spanish tour because I was with my wife’s family but I wish I did the English tour. They have a great gift shop. Bring cash as your cards won’t work (You should have figured that out by this point if you’re from the US).

Costing only 7 CUC, this was a great detour on our trip and something everyone should see if you have even the mildest interest in liquor or Cuban history.

First of all, our tour guide was amazing. She had so much energy and spunk and kept every second of the tour interesting and entertaining. She took us through the basic process of making rum and the brief history behind rum in Cuba.

They have a neat little model of an old distillery where they actually make the rum, as well as a few replica fermentation and aging barrels.

At the end of the tour she talked about the different kinds of Havana club Rum and what each is used for, which incredibly useful, as I ended up buying 5 different bottles by the end of my trip. We got to try some of the 7-year aged rum; very tasty.

At the very end is the gift shop which has basically all of Havana Club's rum varieties, all priced reasonably. It was so interesting and fun, I would even go back.

Must visit in Havana. The guide is funny and shares all the interesting info not just about the history of rum, but also the history of Cuba. The 7 years old havana Club rum at the end is just a nice touch. The experience well worth the 10 CUC it costs.

For cubans the visit is free, for tourists the entrance fee is $7 (cuc). Is a small tour, and basically they tell you the history of the cuban rum, there is a nice model of a sugar cane plantation train and procesing factory and they give you.a shot at the end.
Para los cubanos es gratis, el recorrido es con un guia solamente, al final te dan un trago de ron. Hay un modelo a escala de un ingenio.

Great tour of the history and rum making process, but the best part is the delicious rum cocktails at the beginning and at the end of the tour. They have tours in different languages every 30 minutes so just arrive and ask what time the tour in your preferred language starts, buy your tickets and just walk around the area while you wait for your tour to start. This photo is of the creator of the "Guaravana." a delicious cocktail of pure cane sugar, orange juice and Havana Club 3 Años.

Very interesting. You can taste and buy rum. We got a cocktail at the beginning and also at the end of the tour. The sugar cane juice with rum was delicious.

Educational tour through a former rum distillery. Clear explanation, nice examples and afterwards rum tasting. Mmmm. The bottles of rum in the associated store are cheaper than at the airport.

The tour price is around from 350 peso(USD$3).
You need USD or card to buy rums at the shop.

You can use USD at every places in cuba.
And usually peso is bad compared to USD, EURO.
You shouldn't exchange so much money at airport.
Also airport rate is not good.
I was asked to exchange money(They want USD, EURO) at everywhere(even from hotel stuffs) in Havana.
