Residencia Albero Dulce

A gem in Havana, stone throw distance to Revolution Square. I'm so glad I checked out of the Melia Cohiba hotel and went here. It's cleaner, brand new and for just 20% of the price! And the personal attention from Celine, Matteo and their staff is priceless. Nicely decorated rooms with private bathrooms, the shower even had water jets! The breakfast had a powerful cereal boost, toast with cheese (but you can ask for anything they have available) and fresh fruit. After hitting the town, you return home to this warm place where a good conversation is easy to start, if you need one. Other international guests gather around in their nice patio to get to know each other. We had people from Namibia, Cameroon, Columbia, Italy and Cuba around the table! Matteo was so friendly to let me have a really late checkout and arranged a taxi for a good price to the airport.

Will definitely stay here again, when back in Havana!

Albero Dulce is the best place to stay in Havana. The house is clean the food delicious and the hosts are extremely attentive always making sure your needs are met.

Great Casa near place de la revolucion. Celine and Matteo are great hosts, help were they can and they are english speaking. The condition of the rooms is awesome. Everything is new and works well. I really like to think back to my Holiday in Havanna beginning of this year!

Residencia Albero Dulce is one of those places, when you say after many years to your travel buddy "Do you rembember nice times we had in Albero Dulce together with owners". I can say only the best and when coming back to Havana, there is no other place I will even look for. Greetings from Slovenia

A gem in Havana, the house is named after a sweet tree in the garden. Three guest rooms for now but they are expanding to six rooms next year with a small spa and yoga classes. The personal attention from Celine, Matteo and their staff is priceless. Nicely decorated rooms with private bathrooms, the shower even had water jets! The breakfast had a powerful cereal boost, toast with cheese (but you can ask for anything they have available) and fresh fruit. After hitting the town, you return home to this cool place where a good conversation is easy to start, if you need one. They have a blue Cadillac and run a two hour city tour which is fabulous. They are planning to organise beach excursions in Cadillacs next yeer. Matteo and Celine are so friendly that we felt at home. You won’t get any better value for money.

¡Totalmente recomendado para tu estancia en La Habana! Mi habitación era estupenda, limpia, amplia y con baño privado; y el desayuno, maravilloso. Pero sobre todo lo mejor fue conocer a los chicos que viven en la casa, me trataron genial, me ayudaron en todo lo que pudieron y me prepararon la estancia y el viaje en taxi colectivo a Cienfuegos y Trinidad. Cuando vuelva a La Habana, volveré a Albero Dulce.

SOGGIORNO FANTASTICO!!
Abbiamo soggiornato presso Casa Albero Dulce 2 notti durante il nostro super viaggio in quel di Cuba a Dicembre! La casa si trova a due passi da Plaza de la Revolucion e vicino lo stadio nazionale, quartiere popolare ma tranquillo, come tutta Cuba del resto. Sembrava una casa come tante ma appena entrati la più piacevole delle sorprese...era bellissima!! Tutto era davvero stupendo, sembrava di stare in una casa occidentale italiana e fidatevi che dopo 8 giorni in classiche case particulares cubane è davvero una manna dal cielo!! Ci siamo rilassati tantissimo, Matteo (il proprietario), Celin (la sua ragazza) sono stati simpaticissimi e cordiali, abbiamo chiacchierato tantissimo e ci siamo davvero sentiti a casa.
Ottima la cena e la stanza, c'erano davvero tutti i comfort e la doccia era spettacolare.
Bravo Matteo, vero imprenditore che esporta un pò di stile e lusso in un posto tanto bello quanto povero.
Spero di ritornarci presto!! Consigliato +++

Muy recomendable. Nos alojamos mi pareja y yo, llegamos el día de fin de año y Mateo y Celine( nuestros anfitriones) nos estaban esperando junto con los demás huéspedes en una fiesta donde lo pasamos fenomenal con comida típica muy sabrosa, música... muy divertido!!! La ubicación es muy buena, la casa está decorada con mucho gusto por sus dueños, que son encantadores. El desayuno muy rico. Además, puedes pedir recomendaciones para visitar las plantaciones de tabaco en Viñales y Celine nos organizó excursión a Carballo y transporte. De las mejores vacaciones que recuerdo. Un abrazo para Celine y Mateo si me leen. Prometemos volver!

Me gustan los desayunos y sobre todo la actitud del dueño. El italiano es muy chévere y nos paseó en Blue. La esposa de lo más amable. Recomiendo el lugar porque me encantó realmente calidad precio es fantástico.

Excelente hospedaje. El lugar brilla por la amabilidad de sus anfitriones y empleados, la limpieza de sus instalaciones y la gran ubicación de la casa. Totalmente recomendado.

Encantadora experiencia y práctico de Kundalini Yoga en un ambiente relajado y en armonía con la Naturaleza.

Es un lugar muy limpio, cómodo y agradable. Recomendable para quienes tienen contemplado un gasto importante en alimentación. En nuestro casos somos turistas de clase "media", dispuestos a regatear en lugares para comer un poco más barato y probar las delicias cubanas . En este sentido pudimos notar que la propietaria se molesta si no quieres utilizar el servicio de comidas, que nos parecieron un tanto caras (desayuno alrededor de $16.000 pesos chilenos por persona (frutas y cosas por el estilo) y $20.000 aprox. por almuerzos y cenas), que si sacas la cuenta por siete que eramos nosotros, es bastante. Rescatar la atención de quienes trabajan ahí, principalmente Pedrito "El Habanero" y su esposa María, que son unas bellísimas personas con quienes aún seguimos en contacto a pesar del tiempo, también a su hija Leidy. Agradecemos de todo corazón su cordialidad y alegría, y por hacer de nuestra estadía en La Habana una gran experiencia, que no sólo nos maravilló por la belleza de su arquitectura, sino que lo más importante, nos permitió extender nuestra familia hasta esa lejana y bella Isla.

Der Aufenthalt in der Residencia Albero Dulce war leider nicht sehr schön. Wir hatten extra eine etwas teurere Unterkunft für den Abschluss unserer Ferien in Kuba gebucht. Doch leider wurden die Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Wir können auch die positiven Rückmeldungen der anderen Gäste nicht nachvollziehen. Der Empfang war kühl und wenig motivierend, Hunde haben uns knurrend und bellend empfangen. Das Zimmer war wie beschrieben, jedoch sehr muffig und feucht. Der Geruch im Zimmer war regelrecht abstossend. Auf Nachfrage konnten wir das Zimmer wechseln. Das neue Zimmer war auch feucht und muffig aber etwas besser als das erste. Die Angestellte, die uns am ersten Tag empfangen hatte und einige Wörter Englisch sprach, konnte nach dem Zimmerwechsel nur noch Spanisch, offenbar war sie sauer auf uns, was man auch an ihren Gesichtsausdruck sehen konnte.

Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer lässt zu wünschen übrig, es gibt zwei Hunde und eine Katze auf dem Areal, offenbar gehen die Tiere manchmal in die Zimmer und machen es sich bequem. Haare und Geruch sind allgegenwärtig. Gerade die Teppiche sind voll mit Dreck. Die Hunde werden auch aus der Küche wo das Frühstück der Gäste zubereitet wird mit Essensresten gefüttert.

Das Frühstück ist laut Ausschreibung inklusive. Vor Ort wird einem dann per Zettel mitgeteilt, dass man für Eier, extra Kaffee etc. zusätzlich bezahlen muss. Das ist nicht korrekt. Das Frühstück besteht aus einem Teller mit Früchten, einem Kaffee oder Tee. Etwas trockenes Toastbrot, wenig Butter und etwas Marmelade. Andernorts bekamen wir für 5 CUC unbegrenzt Kaffee, frische Brot, Butter und Marmelade, Eier, Pancakes, Früchte, Kuchen, Saft etc.

Der Zugang zum Grundstück ist mit einer Metalltüre gesichert. Es gibt ein kniffliges Schloss, das man mit einem separaten Schlüssel öffnen muss. Eines Abends brach der Schlüssel ab. Kein Problem sagen die Angestellten. Am Tag der Abreise hat uns jemand beim Frühstück einen Zettel hingelegt, darauf stand “You have to pay 10 CUC for the brocken Key”.

Alles in allem hat uns der Aufenthalt in der “Residencia” gar nicht gefallen und unseren Aufenthalt in Havanna etwas vermiest. Schade...
