Gracia La Vid

We recently dined at Gracia La Vid, a charming restaurant nestled in coastal Brasilito, Costa Rica. Our culinary journey began with the ‘Board Feasting’ charcuterie board—a delightful assortment featuring cheddar, white cheddar with a honey drizzle, blue cheese, house-made wood-fired flatbread crackers with a chimichurri dipping sauce, fresh strawberries, blueberries, inca berries, wood-fired local sausage, green globe grapes, roasted macadamia nuts, and pickled radish & carrots. To complement this, we added the La Vid Arugula Salad, which was a standout—featuring a base of arugula & radicchio lettuces dressed with balsamic vinegar, pears, gorgonzola, and caramelized walnuts. It was remarkably fresh and easily the best salad we’ve had in Costa Rica.

For our main course, we opted to share a pizza and pasta dish among our family of three. The Margherita Wood-fired Pizza was a simple yet delicious choice, accompanied by garlic sauce, red chili peppers, marinara, and parmesan cheese—an instant family favorite. Additionally, we savored the house-made fettuccine with Rosa sauce, a delightful blend of garlic sauce and classic marinara. Despite our generous portions, our bill was under $100 USD, and we even left with a to-go bag of the delicious pizza we couldn’t finish.

Overall, our experience at Gracia La Vid was exceptional. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the staff provided wonderful customer service. We give this establishment a perfect 10/10 rating and look forward to returning!

Simple unique menu with quality food ! Diego was super courteous and friendly and shares his love for food . The atmosphere is open -air and pristine decor . I think this is my new favorite ❤ restaurant

Incredible pizza and salad! We took it to go and it was delicious!! Definitely get the mashed potato pizza! Had a drink while waiting on it and the atmosphere was great. Cool spot for eat in or takeaway.

We really enjoyed our meal, the service was excellent and we would definitely come back here. We stayed over in Las Catalinas and this was definitely worth the short drive.

Great little spot with craft beers and fresh made pizza & pasta! I attached my pizza picture to illustrate that they take dietary restrictions seriously! I cannot eat dairy and they did not have any issue with making my pizza with no cheese. My wife loved her Rigatoni Bolonese as well.

The staff was friendly and quick to bring our drinks/food. They had a ton of overhead fans that made the temperature very pleasant. The parking was easy enough; there are two lots and street parking.

Again, do not judge my pizza for its looks because I’m weird and cannot eat cheese!

Dined like royalty at this spot! Our waiter Diego, an 18-year-old prodigy from New Mexico with a Costa Rican twist, knew the menu like the back of his hand, including the wine list. He pointed us to a potato-based pizza that's so good, it's borderline illegal. Best meal of our getaway, hands down! Charcuterie board is a must have.

The staff were extremely hospitable, the vibes were gorgeous, drinks were tasty and food was delicious. We’re sad we discovered this restaurant on our last night because it was the best meal we had in Costa Rica!

Wow. All I can first think of is WOW…. This place caught us by surprise. Really high quality and uniquely flavored. This pizza was amazing. We had 4 different kinds in a group of 5 and were all weee arguing over which was the best because they were all so good! And this restaurant wins for all restaurants we have visited so for the price. Our favorite restaurant we have visited in the area!!!

The staff were friendly, and the food was exceptionally enjoyable. While some drinks leaned toward the pricier end (like the $7 soda mixed with berries), the pizzas were reasonably priced, ranging between $12 to $16. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

If you are looking for tasty, authentic Italian food in this area - look no further! We tried a little of everything: two different pastas, a pizza, and some cocktails. All of the above were amazing. The attention to detail blew us away as did the attentive and friendly staff!

Amazing!!! by far one of the best places to eat in the flamingo area. Very professional amazing ambience and vibes... creative delicious drinks - crispy pizza, over the top pastas - wish my stomach could have handled more... talented chefs a MUST go to place.

Visiting from the USA and wow, just wow. Everything was perfect. The food, service, atmosphere, mood and drinks. Literally everything. All of the staff was great. I would say if you are within an hour drive you need to make the trip for an unforgettable Costa Rican experience. We ordered two pizzas so we could sample different tastes. Both impeccable. I had a mule, an old fashioned, and a sour de roco. All were made with special care and fantastic. Also had a few craft beers. They all held true to their description and tasted great. I would recommend this place to absolutely everyone!

My family and I are foodies and I am in the industry in North America…this whole experience was better than most I have had in North America. The food was some of the best pizzas we have had. The drinks and wine were fabulous. Great selection of Wine and custom cocktails. You can tell the passion and pride goes into this establishment and the staff are amazing. Ask Diego for his special sauce recipe! Best dining experience on our whole trip and portion sizes are very generous.

Pizza is insanely good (crunchy crust & quality cheese/ingredients), high quality olive oil, and drinks are A1. The vibe of the restaurant is very tropical and it has an open kitchen. Little pricey, but it’s a touristy area.

Our last night in Playa Flamingo, and this was an incredible ending to our trip. You sit down to order drinks but go up to the counter to order food. One pizza is enough for 2 people with leftovers. They give you a box for leftovers. A friend had the jalapeño margarita, and it was amazing. We got to watch them making the pizza in this awesome outdoor oven. The atmosphere was lively. I’d come back here for sure!

The best pizza, and their pastas are amazing too! Oh, and don't get me started on their tasting boards and salads!! Really, all of their food is amazing. Unique favors with perfect balance, and they also serve amazing wines and cocktails. Their service is above and beyond and you leave feeling like family.

Great music sets a mellow vibe. Great specialized cocktail specials, outdoor seating is muy bueno, brief visit from a monkey, not intrusive but fun! Rigatoni Bolognese, and mashed potato pizza with extra sauces, very tasty! Service was attentive and prompt! We picked this restaurant to return to on our last day on Costa!

Went with friends, we shared salad, pasta, and pizza; it was a great way to sample across the menu. The food was so good we regretted saving this place for our last night - we would have visited many more times if we knew how tasty it was going to be. One unexpected treasure was their drink menu. We ordered the gin flight and the flavors were exceptional, we spent some time figuring out how we were going to replicate them when we got home. Don’t make my mistake, visit La Vid as soon as you can.

Cheerful location for Costa Rica Italian fare and wine. Outdoor semi-enclosed space is casual and breezy. Everyone enjoyed their salad and one person two people is about right. Pizzas come fresh out of the oven with a well blistered thin crust and are a generous size. Lots of wine on the menu or try one of their wine tasting flights. Though Costa Rican cheese isn't really my favorite, the cheese plate here was actually pretty good as well.

Easily the best pizza in Costa Rica and better than anything I have had in my hometown. You simply dont expect to find gourmet pizza like this on your tropical vacation. The restaurant is charming, the bar and wine selection (old world TOO) are top shelf, and we've done take away from here as well.

Its not going to be right next to your Vacation Rental or Hotel, but its well worth the drive.
