The Coast Beachfront Hotel

I would highly recommend The Coast hotel to any travelers coming to Tamarindo. The location is perfect, at the quieter end of the beach but just a few minutes walk to all the restaurants, shops and cafes. The staff is outstanding, friendly and helpful.There is also security 24/7 which made us feel at ease. The rooms are sparkling clean and have great little kitchenettes with beautiful granite counter tops that are well equipped. I loved the fresh, ripe local fruit offered for breakfast as well as various breads, yogurt, and granola. We were very happy here and would definitely come back.

We stayed for 6 nights - Sunday to Saturday. We loved every minute of it. The location was great, lots of restaurants nearby. (We did rent a golf cart). The staff was friendly and eager to help. We didn't have any problems at all - our room was clean and comfortable, the bed was VERY comfortable, the refrigerator was just the right size. We didn't use the stove top or do any cooking - the only appliance we used was the full size coffee pot. The continental breakfast delivery was nice, it would have been a little better if we could have gotten it earlier, say 6:00 a.m. We always felt safe, there was a staff presence on the beach at all times. My husband had a great massage right on the beach, $40 for well over an hour. We used the fresh water pool every day, it was warm but refreshing. A little library at the pool provided me with a book for the week, which was a pleasant surprise. There is lots to do in Tamarindo - we took a chocolate tour, mangrove tour, sunset cruise. Langosta Beach Club is a short walk on the beach and their food was incredible. We had a beachfront suite, and our traveling companions had a beachfront bungalow. Even though the bungalow was bigger, they said they would have preferred our room on the second floor because it felt more private. I can't wait to go back.

The Coast is a perfect place to stay when vacationing in Tamarindo. The location was exactly where you want to be. Easy walking distance to countless restaurants and shops and very quiet just the same.

The staff is so nice! Stephanie and Rodolfo checked us in. You will not get a friendlier welcome. They really look out for you to make sure you feel at home.
The complementary breakfast was very refreshing. You get to pick your own menu from a variety of fruits and breads, granola coffee, etc.
Our room was very clean and well equipped with all the extras one would need.
Really what makes this place special is the staff. Everyone was so nice and hospitable.
You will not regret spending your vacation at The Coast Beach Front Hotel.

We had a great time at the Coast! Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was friendly and pool was fantastic. 24/7 security was nice for the beach. Beach massages were available ( for a separate fee) as well as super comfortable beach chairs. A small fruit and banana bread breakfast was delivered to the rooms each morning at your preferred time. Couldn’t have asked anything else! Will definitely stay here again!

This place is a hidden gem! Amazing beachfront location and less than a 10 minute walk to the downtown Tamarindo area. The staff was beyond helpful in booking tours and transportation. The hotel is small and quiet which is nice for a chill vibe. There are beach chairs out front and surfboards to rent. Continental breakfast was provided every morning with fresh fruit and banana bread. We saw a monkey, iguana, lizards, and birds from our beachfront cottage! Highly recommend for a small group looking for a relaxing place to stay. There is no bar/restaurant on site which is something to consider.

Exceptional all round!! I don’t think the photos even do this place justice! We had a Junior suit overlooking at the pool. It was modern, clean, big comfy bed, fridge freezer and had a great area to cook your own food! Friendly staff and always happy to help. Breakfast brought to your room each morning at a time chosen was a great edition. We made use of the surf equipment (you can surf right outside the hotel!) And also beach beds! 24h security was very re assuring. The location (for us) was perfect. Very quiet and relaxed but 10mins walk down the beach or road to the centre on Tamarindo, best of both worlds! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we come back to Costa Rica!

We stayed here for 3 nights while travelling across Costa Rica. Tamarindo is a very busy town so the location of this hotel is perfect at about a 5 minute walk from all the action. We stayed in one of the Bungalows which was absolutely perfect. Beach is beautiful, pool is excellent, service is fantastic and breakfast was a bonus. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The location right on the beach is fabulous but a little away from the craziness of the main part of the Tamarindo beach. A 10 minute walk and you were within the more lively part of town. The property was immaculately clean and well kept. 24 hour security made it feel very safe. Staff was very friendly.
Room was nothing fancy but it was spacious and clean and we slept well. Complimentary breakfast in the morning delivered to the room was nice.
The beach area was very nice and watching monkeys and parrots meanwhile you enjoy the beach was really fun.
Definitely recommend for a stay in Tamarindo.

This Hotel was the best place to spend our lazy days and nights. We had a blast and the hotel gave us the peace and quite we were looking for. The rooms were well stocked with the thing we needed to be confortable and keep our drinks cold and the bed was bigger than a king it seemed. The pool was a perfect way to escape the beach front if you needed too. Our room was a beach front villa and we came out one afternoon and saw a family of monkeys in the trees. Staff was very friendly helpful. The Sofia across the street was a great start to our day everyday for a light lunch and coffee in morning. The hotel brought our coffee, fruit, and toast every morning which was wonderful. This is a private hotel and you cannot have guest but they can hang with you at the beach out front so you don't really miss them. Security at night was awesome you feel safe and secure knowing people that aren't suppose to be there are not. I will be back and we had an amazing time. Thank You Coast you guys are the best. P.S 90 minute massage was amaazing and worth it. They came to us and set up under the trees and in the shade a really did a great job!!

Beautiful setting. Secure facility. Beach loungers provided in the shade. Great staff. Steps to the beach. Not too far from Tamarindo restaurants and shopping.

Nice rooms with good AC and kitchenette. Great beach sitting area which they keep very clean. Lots of seats for guests. Nice complementary breakfast to start your day.

It was our first time in Costa Rica, we were there for our vacation and we stayed for a week. The Hotel provided transportation to and from the airport (at a fee) but was very reasonably and safe. The staff upon arrival was super great and very helped with our every need. Shout out to the two Stephanie's at the front desk those were our go to girls.
The beach was indescribably beautiful and the sunsets were as well. The waves were perfect for surfing and Carlos helped me select the perfect board, Thanks Carlos!
All the restaurants and shops are easily accessible by street or by beach and all within a ten minute walk which is awesome. I would highly recommend The Coast Beachfront Hotel and would stay here again. Also spend the extra money for the bungalow it was definitely worth it.
I find awesome getaways by reading the reviews so I hope this one was helpful because it was truly a super great week in Costa Rica!!

This was our first time to Costa Rica and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. They will provide transportation from the airport for a fee we thought was reasonable and very safe. We used the transportation back to the airport also. The staff was fantastic! Everyone was very kind and helpful. The location was perfect. Not too far from town but far enough so that it was quiet. The walk was about 10 minutes by street or beach and always felt safe walking. We did take taxis when it was very hot outside and they were always about $6 to $8 dollars US we felt was reasonable. We had a beachfront bungalow and it was perfect. The kitchen was appointed perfectly everything that you need was there. It had plenty of room and was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. The pool was fantastic. It wasn't cold at all. I enjoyed watching the wildlife around the hotel. The security guys out on the beach were great about pointing out the Monkees. I can't say enough about the staff everyone is just fantastic. I love boutique hotels and this was one of my favorites. If we ever were to go back to Tamarindo I would stay here again. I wouldn't even consider another hotel. Surfboards for rent right at the hotel they are reasonably priced and surfing was right out in front. The laundry service was terrific! $15 for a bag and they often had it done the same day. Look no further book this hotel!! Mucho gracias to everybody at the coast hotel for making our stay spectacular!! We enjoyed meeting and getting to know everyone of you! ❤

This place is absolutely top-notch. The staff could not be lovelier. Helpful, attentive charming...you get the idea. The setting is perfect. The fourth time here and planning on many more. Stephanie was extremely helpful ...a special thank you to her.

We loved that this hotel was just steps away from Tamarindo Beach. We watched the beautiful sunset every night from the lawn chairs and walked to the restaurants every evening. We swam in the ocean too. The pool stayed open 24 hours as long as you didn’t disturb the other guests. So the midnight swimming underneath the stars was perfect!

We liked getting fresh fruit and juice for our breakfast in the mornings and the staff helped us to order food for delivery if we just wanted to eat in the room. We had a small kitchen and a full size refrigerator which was a plus. We prefer practical, clean and comfortable more than ultra luxurious so this hotel fit our needs.

We had a great two night stay at The Coast in March 2023! We booked a beach front suite and it was so lovely being able to sit on our small deck and look at the ocean each morning and evening. It was also nice to have the beach loungers for hotel guests use.

The staff were very friendly and quick to help whenever we needed. Overall the property seemed well maintained as well, but we did not use the pool at all so cannot speak to that amenity.

We loved that the hotel was a quick 10-15 minute walk into town which made it easy to go in for meals, but far enough that we felt a bit more relaxed when at the hotel and in our room. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here; it's literally a few seconds from the beach. Friendly staff with a completely relaxed atmosphere. There's no restaurant on site, so there's no hot breakfast and no dinner provided, but there are great restaurants nearby on the beachfront, including Capricho's. Would definitely visit again. There's so much interesting wildlife nearby! Plus, you can get coconut water provided to you from the trees on site.

Great location. Small hotel with great service. We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful beach!
