Even when it’s really fogged up the forest around the volcano is beautiful. We walked the complete trail of 3.2 km (one way) and it was worth it.

Because of the lack of sunlight you can’t really experience the blue of the Rio Celeste but all the different spots and viewpoints made it a great hike. We also saw the Yellow Eyelash Pit Viper, that was a bonus.

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Tenorio National Park, in Costa Rica. I was impressed by the park's natural beauty, which is home to a variety of landscapes, including tropical forests, waterfalls, and volcanoes. One of the park's highlights is the Blue Water Waterfall, which is fed by an underground river. The water of the waterfall is a deep turquoise blue, which contrasts with the surrounding green vegetation. The waterfall is a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

It’s as beautiful as all the pictures. How cool to see in real life. Enough of a tough hike to wear your boots.

Great hiking trails and views! They close for lunch and good to be careful in the parking lots, people with approach you for parking payment and "private tours" off site

Una caminada de poco más de una hora. Un lugar ideal para tener contacto con la naturaleza

Decently intense in and out hike, lots of boulders and stairs/stepping. It was very humid (late Dec 2023), so prepare to get sweaty and bring lots of water and salty snacks to replenish your electrolytes. The interest points (falls, borbolones, etc) are plentiful, and come quickly, one after another along the trail. Lots of good photo opportunities, especially at the falls, bridge, and trail end. No map needed, it's impossible to get lost on this well-traversed and popular trail.
