The Rio Celeste tubing tour was exciting and so much fun. Our river guide was personable and kept things in control - at no point was there any reason to be nervous, we simply relaxed and had a great time. Even got to use a couple of rope swings to jump into the water, and saw a coral snake on the river bank! Next time we return we will try one of their other tours and stay in the tree house lodging (again! It's lovely ) - Dec 25 2023

Amazing from A-Z
The team was responsive on WhatsApp. Answered all our questions regarding safety arrival direction etc…
We came 45 min ahead of time and we have enjoyed tasty lunch which also the kids liked. Then in an organized way we were taken to the river ( 5 min drive ) and started the ride which was great. The crew were kind and helping us we felt safe and it was great the water has an amazing colours animals above us and everything was just great.
Don’t think just book it.

Where do I even start?! AMAZING EXPERIENCE. We took a wrong turn heading to the Rio Celeste Waterfall and it was the best happy accident we’ve ever made! Stayed one night in the treehouse (DO THIS) and absolutely loved it. The property, the owners, the staff, the food-all was top notch.

They set up a last minute night tour for us, took us in the field to see TWO wild sloths, a male and female, and made us a fantastic breakfast. We had a hard time saying goodbye.

Do not hesitate to book with them, they offer a wide variety of tours also. If you want an authentic experience surrounded in nature with a beautiful family then this is the place.

We stayed here in the great tree houses, surrounded by wildlife and nature. Yet the standard is high, the internet is fast, and the breakfast - delicious.
If you're looking for wildlife, it's a great spot. The owners help you spot nearby sloths and birds. They have their telescope, which they move around to help you spot the best wildlife.
We also booked the tubing tour with them, which was terrific. It's a bit of adrenaline, but it's always under control with their guides and very safe—a must-do in the region of Rio Celeste.

Amazing tour and very helpful guides. They spotted clothes along with other animals. Also offered to take us to a farm afterwards to see more sloths if we wanted too although we passed on that. We had a 7&9 yr old with us and they helped with them a lot!!! Highly recommend!

Today we had a great day at the Onca Tours facility! First we went to a Tubing Adventure through the Rio Celeste. It was about 2 hours and a great experience. You can go chill or more adventures. The guides helped you all the way :) Thank you very much!
After that we got a tasty meal and went for the next adventure: a ziplining parcour. It has 2 very fun ziplines (one was very fast) and a parcour above the Rio Celeste. This one is quite an exercise but you get a reward by walking over the Rio Celeste via a hanging bridge. All in all great day, great people, it was a pleasure!

Wow!!! That pretty much sums up our experience with this family owned business. 2 families, kids ages 10-12 all had an INCREDIBLE experience. We came up from la fortuna for a day trip. Was a bit skeptical but the owner was super responsive over text and we decided to make the trip. The drive was super easy and beautiful and totally worth it. The tubing is amazing. Water was great temperature, not cold at all (and we have some sensitive people in our party :-)) and the color is so blue it’s mind blowing. I was a little scared but the river path is really not wild, just enough to feel the thrill but not too much for it to feel dangerous. The company was super professional- we had 4 guides with us for 8 people and they were with us all the way.
The tubing included lunch which was great (rice, beans, great chicken, salad- Costa Rica food). But the best part is the owner. He was so nice. If you are nice and have time- he will take you to the farm next door- we saw monkeys, sloths, woodpeckers- it was so great! The owner is part of a mission in the area to encourage tourists to visit wildlife in natural habitats (vs. zoos) and is trying to help farmers maintain the land for the animals - we were happy to contribute to the effort.

This is a top tour I’ve taken in Costa Rica! The visit was such a treat. First of all, the drive there was beautiful! But the visit itself is what I’ll focus on. There is an incredible kind family that guides you through the day. They take you to the drop off spot with your gear and then get you all set up. They go down the river with you and steer you through the bends and curves of the route with a smile! The views are gorgeous and the river is the most beautiful color. Oh! And we saw a sloth… in the wild! Finally we ended the adventure back at their lodge over coffee, a home cooked meal, tasty - yet v spicy - hot sauce, and a game of Uno with the family’s son.

Excellent day, excellent experience. Highly recommended.

We'd loved our tubing experience with Onca Tours. It was exciting and different. Luis and Antony were skilled, friendly and hardworking. We felt completely safe in their hands. They provided a wonderful ride for us. The tubing itself is fun and exciting and we loved how long the ride is. The break in the middle was fun because they showed us how to swing into the river. And lunch after was delicious. Thanks so much!

This was such a great experience. The family running the tour and facility were all very helpful and polite. The lunch was tasty and the Rio Celeste tubing exceeded our expectations!

Great experience, people very nice!
The tubbing tour is very safe, we have done it with 2 kids (8 and 5) the team was really present to help out. We saw a Sloth walking on the road and we were at a touching distance, this was crazy. The lunch is great, I do recommend this place!!!

My son and I walked the hanging bridges over Rio Celeste today! Very fun and very beautiful! It was a pleasure to meet Odir's lovely wife, and the sweet dogs! Thank you for our morning adventure!

We did the tubing tour with two families of four (kids age 8-13) and had an awesome time. We showed up without reservation and a tour was set up quickly for us. Our two guides were great, knowledgeable and very engaged guiding is through the rapids. The tour was more exciting than expected. During a break we also spotted sloths, howler monkeys and turtles.
Onca Tours is a very welcoming operation with a friendly atmosphere and well kept facilities. Prices were very appropriate given that they included a delicious Costa Rican lunch.

Got there an hour early and the hosts were very welcoming. Relaxed on a hammock until lunch was ready. The lunch was homemade and delicious, and came with a very refreshing cas juice. The tubing was so much fun! I couldn’t stop smiling or laughing. The group included people of all ages. All of the guides did a great job making sure the group stayed together and helping us all get out of any tough spots. Onca does the longest tubing experience. I would definitely recommend and would love to come back one day.

The tour with Onca tours was one of the highlights for our trip! First of all, we've never done river tubing and showed up at this location randomly at the last minute. The management team managed to squeeze us in, and we highly appreciated their flexibility! Guides are amazing and deserve additional kudos! 👏 they helped along the way, if people were stuck on rocks and made us feel safe and secured!

Absolutely loved the experience! The guides were awesome, they even stopped half way down the river to show us some Sloths and Monkeys! We jumped from some rocks off a rope into the river for a-bit of swimming. Overall amazing service and experience! Highly recommend!

What an amazing journey
I will definitely be back next time and be To stay at their lodge. Tubing was out of this world. The water was warmer than I expected, which was Wonderful
Honestly, I got to see more wildlife just tubing for hour and a half the entire length then hiking rio Celeste. The largest Sloth dangling while tubing staring up in sky with rays filtering through !

Perfect book end for the day after tubing is doing the chocolate factory tour and ending the day with a sip of “ drink of the gods. “

Such an incredible day spent with Onca Tours. We were provided with some delicious lunch before tubing down El Rio Celeste. This was so much fun! At the end of the tubing the tour guide pointed out some of the local wildlife including monkeys, toucans, and a sloth! Onca Tours is a must visit when in Costa Rica!

We had so much fun tubing on the Rio Celeste with Onca tours. Our guides Nacho and Daniel were fantastic, and our family of four had a private ride down the river with them! The river itself is simply beautiful, with fun rapids (we were there in rainy season). Lunch at Odir’s place was delicious. This was so much better than a large operation out of La Fortuna would have been. So glad we found it!

We had great experience with this tour. We did a day trip from La fortuna and did waterfall hikes and volcano park..guide Louis was the best and very passionate about his work. Had fresh, hot, delicious lunch at noon from them, followed by tubing in beautiful river , which was perfect for my adventurous kids.. staff was friendly and felt not being rushed at any time..
