Amazing vibes, live Jazz music, and the best cocktail in town! We were mind blown by the tasty cocktails and their house-made liquors. Our server, Alejandro, was also pretty warm, fun, and helpful. We ended up buying some of the coffee beans from his family’s farm. Can’t wait to try them!

Really unique cocktails. Must try the smokey ones. Food was also delicious and very friendly staff. Saturday night Jazz band was nice touch.

One of the best matcha latte I've ever had as well as the tasty and not too sour jun kombucha by Wild Brew referred by our friendly waiter. Thank you! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. 😋👍

Super trendy and hip bar/restaurant with delicious cocktails and food. Quite possibly the best chicken wings I have ever had. My only criticism is that the service was a little slow.

Great decor, different areas to sit to choose from, great menu - we had the garden salad and the pulled pork tacos - do have the soda from the place and the tinto de verano - wonderful service - menu in English and staff spoke English as well. Enjoy!

Without a doubt Apotecario is my favorite cocktail bar in Costa Rica. Fantastic staff, creative drinks and the bartenders Charlie and Blue will make up some really flavorful drinks while staying engaged with the customers. The French toasts for breakfast, the carpaccio and osobuco are must haves in terms of food. Every time I’m in Escalante I will carve time to at least swing by for a drink.

Apotecario has an extensive menu with really thoughtful cocktails. The playlist the whole night was on point and the servers were super friendly. I would definitely go back next time I’m in San Jose.

Lovely place! I was a little scared with Marisa, the lady skeleton decorating the entrance but once I was inside the living staff made me feel like in home. They were amazing, professional and very nice. The drinks, coffee and food amazing too. They offer vegetarian options, but unfortunately they didn’t have any plant based milk at this time. The bread and pastries are made fresh.

One of the best burgers we’ve ever had - order it you won’t regret it!

We also liked their sour (beer) - was really interesting, reminded us a little of dill pickle.

The servers there were also awesome, super warm and friendly. When we asked what one of the ingredients in our salad was, they actually came out with some and talked to us about it. Kudos to them!

The burgers and beers here are the best thing that can happen to you in San Jose. Such an incredible experience I wish I could get a flight back and go again!

The meat is more tender the voice of Frank Sinatra who serenades you gently in the background of the restaurant.

My girlfriend got the falafel salad and it was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Everything handmade.

They even have local sour beers that are top quality.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere is charming with some true apothecary roots and vibe. There are plants hanging from the ceiling in the skylights, the bar is always busy, and the food is incredible. The jazz music playing over the speakers is perfection and really goes with the ambiance. Such a lovely Saturday night experience! If you enjoy adult beverages, get the Penicilina and get your camera ready. Won’t spoil the surprise, but that’s really neat. Go eat and drink here - you won’t regret it.

This is one of my favorite places of anywhere. The craft cocktails are unique and amazing and the food is incredible, also with a unique selection. The Aviation cocktail and rose & pistachio French toast in an English cream will never be forgotten! The service was very inviting and friendly and took great pride in what they serve.

Incredible experience - favorite of all places we went in Costa Rica. Ale was welcoming and kind, gave excellent cocktail recommendations. Every cocktail I had was incredible, but the penicillin was on another level. The best penicillin I’ve ever had by far, and one of the best cocktails - full stop - I’ve ever had. Clearly the staff care about their craft and it shows in every cocktail and in the food - gallos were delicious, simple and fresh. Interior is welcoming and a delight to sit in and watch the bar. Highly recommend this gem of a spot and hope to be back

The food was really good. They've got vegetarian options, meat, fish, chicken.. The drinks were also amazing. Eat inside the patio If there's space, it's really nice there. The prices are high but the quality of the food is really good compared to other places in that neighborhood.
100% recommend.

I love the Fresh menu here. The restaurant is creative and fun. I enjoy their falafel burger, Greek salad, pulled pork sandwich, and burgers. They have some fun cocktails, kombuchas, and craft beers too.

We had a great time at this place. Came for a late breakfast and it was delicious. The place is large and beautiful. We came on a Tuesday and it was empty. Staff was friendly. Mimosas were so good. Highly recommend
