Hotel Ave del Paraiso

Cozy private rooms. Recommend top floor if you’re in the main building. Has a wide variety of unique and antique items (chairs carved from single piece of wood, old typewriters and sewing machines,etc). Has a security gate and wifi. Also a nice breakfast was included!

Walkable distance but across an overpass and you will find several restaurants ranging from local cuisine to asian.

It’s a bit of a trek from the airport but definitely more quiet. I would stay here again if in San Jose.

This is a really neat and eclectic hotel. Be sure to walk through the whole place and look at all of the decorations and cultural works throughout the hotel. Lots of works are Costa Rican crafts and pottery. Breakfast was included with our room and it was really good. I really love the design and artwork. The beds were small but comfortable. I would stay here again.

A lovely, modest hotel. Kind staff, wonderful breakfast, keeps you in touch with the local culture. I loved waking up to the sounds of birds. They have legit hot water as well, which is nice.

Ave del Paraiso is my favorite hotel in San Jose. The people are wonderful, the hotel is charming and comfortable, and the breakfast is great. I stay here often and it feels like home.

Excelente lugar solo deberían poner algún rótulo en la pared del restauran que indique la entrada porque no se disquingue la entrada es complicado porqué no se puede detener en carro porque van rapido

Un verdadero paraíso donde respirar dentro de la ciudad. Ubicado en una zona perfecta, rodeada de restaurantes, cafeterías y actividades a distancias caminables.

Bonito hotel con un acento rustico costarricense con construcción de madera, muy buen servicio del personal encargado.
El desayuno incluido muy rico y variado.
Cuenta con una buena ubicación muy cerca de varios malls, restaurantes y la Universidad de Costa Rica.

Das Hotel verfügt über mindestens drei Häuser mit (lt. Website) 30 Zimmern und jeder Menge mit Kolonialstil-Möbeln ausgestatteten Gemeinschaftsräumen. Die Gäste sind größtenteils lugareños - aus anderen Teilen Costa Ricas - und halten sich hier auf Dienstreisen auf.

Das Grundstück ist mit jeder Menge Schmiedeeisen gesichert, strotzt aber vor grünen Gebüschen, Rasenflächen, mit buntem Mosaik verzierten Veranden, bunten modernen Skulpturen und eher traditionell gehaltenen Gemälden.

Mein Zimmer ist sehr sauber, aber in keinster Weise luxuriös: Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, aber eine Art großen Fensterladen mit Luftschlitzen (verhindert Aufheizen in der Sonne), leider kein Fenster, keinen Schrank und eine nicht wirklich sichere safebox. Dafür funktioniert das Internet per Wifi gut.

Das geflieste Bad verfügt über Dusche (mit warmem Wasser, aber abgerissenem Drehknopf), frischen Handtüchern, Shampoo und Seife aus Spendern.

Im Frühstücksraum kann man sich von 7 bis 9 an gallopinto (Reis mit schwarzen Bohnen), Rührei mit Miniwürschteln, Papaya, Ananas und Wassermelone gütlich tun - frischen Saft und frisch gebrühten Kaffee sowie Toast mit Käse, Schinken und Marmelade gibt's auch.

Für umgerechnet ca. 70 US-$ pro Nacht im Einzelzimmer ist das Hotel sehr in Ordnung.

Amplio, con excelente ubicación. Grandes y bellos jardines, muchos tesoros del tiempo, espacioso y bien decorado. Buen iluminado, con acceso para sillas de ruedas. Estacionamiento amplio y seguro. Ideal para disfrutar de gratos momentos.
