Tico Wind Windsurf,Kitesurf and SUP Center

I did two days of kitesurfing lessons and I can really recommend the school and the spot. Dani was an amazing teacher. As he was always near me with the boat he could see better my mistakes and could correct me directly. The next time I will be in Costa Rica I will definitely return.

Peter, the owner, runs a good business. I took kite surfing lessons here, going through the 3 classes (3 hrs each) and have a solid grounding of kite control and water-starts... now I just have to keep practicing.

Shutout to the local dudes who work there, they're great with beginners of all ages.

Great experience as a total beginner with kiting. The spot is beautiful, there is hardly anyone one the water and most important the teachers are incredible. I spent 4 days with John and felt super safe and like I got really strong foundations. Would definitely be back here if I was coming back to CR

In February is high season and material is limited- better make a reservation. I was lucky to get some hours on the water. Next time I will make a reservation. Thanks for the flexibility, Peter!

IMPORTANT: The windguru/windfinder show incorrect wind readings for this location. They do not have a data point on the lake and as a result have to extrapolate the wind speed based on their weather models. In realty add 15 knots to anything those websites project.

A 4x4 is not required but strongly recommended to get to this location.

I had a good time windsurfing here for an hour while on a family trip. I think they are best suited for more advanced windsurfers, though.

Netter, professioneller Kontakt im Vorfeld. Material war einwandfrei. Der Spot ist für Kite-Anfänger nicht unbedingt geeignet, da es keinen Stehbereich gibt. Der Wind war konstanter, als ich bei einem von Bergen umgebenen See erwartet hätte. Ich hatte hier eine wirklich gute Session, hat Spaß gemacht. Für die Anfahrt wird ein Auto mit etwas mehr Bodenfreiheit bzw. ein Allrad benötigt.

Super Service, Material top eingestellt. In dieser Saison haben sie leider keine Erlaubnis mehr erhalten, die Surfstation aufzubauen. Als Übergangslösung fahren sie das Material mit einem Anhänger täglich zum Spot. Daher muss alles per E-Mail bis am Vorabend vorgebucht werden. Das Team gibt sich sehr viel Mühe, aus dieser Situation das Beste zu machen. Es hat alles sehr unkompliziert und ohne Probleme funktioniert. Kann Tico Wind jeder/jedem weiterempfehlen.

Onze dochters hebben hier drie uur uitstekende beginners lessen gehad!! Leuke ongedwongen sfeer. Dus ook heerlijk genieten van de sfeer en het uitzicht als je moet wachten. Reserveer wel op tijd, want het zit snel vol. De weg er naar toe is slecht. 4x4 is een pré.
