Auto Mercado, Barrio Dent

See receipt attachment for price estimate. Personally, I thought this mercado was excellent. It's certainly a high-end store, but the range of products, especially those for health conscious individuals, was remarkable. It was safe, exceptionally clean, and of course, card is accepted. Really nice store indeed and not too pricey if you buy intelligently.

I agree with others who say this automercado is small. It is, but it cover the basics, including the Braggs Apple cider vinegar. :)

I've lived in 3 countries and on each, you tend to find -that- supermarket that is ultra well organized, clean, amazing atmosphere. The employees are helpful and nice. Variety of products. It's pricey but even with those prices it's totally worth it because you find stuff that's not available at the other supermarkets. They even have boxes for your groceries so you don't have tu buy bags and they ask you if you want them carried to your car 🚗

Upscale supermarket, it serves wealthy locals, you can find most American brands here if you are willing to pay extra. Amazing service top quality produce and meats. It has a bakery really good stuff.

Nice, organised supermarket like other AMs. AM is my place to go for shopping usually, coz general quality, service and the cleanliness is way higher than other supermarkets in CR. Also they have imported products which are not available anywhere else.

Great place with food and items that cater to Tico s and North American and European visitors alike. Most of the staff are helpful and have a good attitude (a few are still coming up to speed on this issue). Also a little pricey. If you are looking for more comfortable prices, you have to hit another store. However, you'll find things here that you won't find elsewhere (eg. ricotta cheese, real pepperoni).

Great neighborhood supermarket! Has a nice deli! Has all of the basics plus more!. This Auto Mercado is very clean, and well organized. I have always had a positive experience with all of their employees. I would definitely recommend this supermarket if you're in the area and need groceries, beer/alcohol, deli stuff. Oh, and they even have souvenir t-shirts! Pura Vida!

Nice store, we found good clean protein powder here. And the best damn toothpaste I've ever used, may sound lil, but to us is huge!

It's usually a bit more expensive than other supermarkets but you can find great variety of things, they have a good selection of eco friendly products and a nice wine selection :)

Good food and coffee selections

The supermarket has lots of varieties in both local and imported products. The organic veggies and fruits are always fresh and in a reasonable price. Import products are usually on the more expensive site. It also has hand sanitiser, safety dividers and trolleys' cleaning. There's a unisex toilet in the back by the car parking. Tillies are available in both the front and the back as well.

Auto Mercado is always a reliable stop for all high quality grocery sourcing. This is a smaller shop but also with the same high end professional staff, willing to service their customers at excellence.

You will find many high end food products here that you won't find in other grocery stores in Costa Rica. Be prepared to pay premium prices, however, if you're anywhere near San Jose.

Best super market ever in costa Costa Rica! The amount of imported products is amazing! The variety of options is just the best one in this small country. Why do I say this... All what I said previously is based on a reason and it's because we got a few places that offer added value and auto mercado is one of those places that give you all what you are looking for, dinner, meals, dessert, beer!!!

You can find a variety of vegan products. This market is compromised with the environment. You need to carry your own bags.

I love the Auto Mercado, quality prices but you buy a extra. Expensive but quality good and imported. You be surprised at their sushi to go.
