La Posada de las Brujas

My husband I went here today and it was amazing. We ordered New York steaks and mojitos and hands down one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. The staff was so nice and so friendly, and I loved that this was a local gem. I would recommend this place to everyone. Thank you for such an amazing lunch and experience. Super delicious !!!!coming from Canada, this place was very special .

Great off-the-beaten path, local and Mexican style restaurant. Hard to see from the road if you don't know it's there.
Plate servings were generous and the food was good. Prices range between 3000-4500 for most entrees.
There is a mix of indoor, and covered deck seating plus picnic tables under a covered area.
Would definitely go back.

Large soda type of bistro where you can get a tasty food (both traditional and also grill). We visited based on a recommendation from our hotel and must confirm this place is really good. You can park inside its area (secured and free parking) and have a menu with a large offering. We took grilled fish with a seafood and grilled chicken with rice and beans and enjoyed it. Some pieces of octopus were rubbery but the fish was very well prepared and the chicken was tender. Very quick service and good prices too.

The restaurant was a pleasant surprise to put it mildly. Local fare and very tasty. Fast and very friendly staff with courteous service. Very reasonable prices. The place is lively. No wonder it seems so popular with local residents. Would recommend a visit to this place in a quiet neighborhood

La Posada de las Brujas in Escazu has a casual sports bar vibe and served a menu of affordable Costa Rican food in a lively atmosphere. My pick from the menu was the Casado Especial with lengua, a plate of white rice, stewed red beans, a simple salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, avocado in an Italian dressing), and the best part, slices of beef tongue in a sweet and acidic tomato-based stew with mixed vegetables. The beef tongue was super tender and gelatinous, and the sauce paired nicely with the rice and beans. The service was quick and efficient, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for a restaurant with such a nice atmosphere!

Very generous portions, reasonable prices. My pick: Patacones Brujos! They will cast a spell on you and you will never be able to order anything else (Yep, they are that good!). If you are a tourist and visiting the area, this is a great place to get some Costa Rican food!

Holy moly, it’s crazy!!

We got there at 3:30 and didn’t sit until 4:30, but well worth the wait!

The appetizers are huge, and the meals are ginormous (see pics below)

The staff is friendly but be advised if you in a rush, this may not be the place for you; it seems like a local hot spot but definitely recommend for a party of 4 or more, and two meals would be plenty!!

Really nice restaurant, the wait for a Saturday night was not bad (10 minutes) the service is excellent, great food and good prices.

Very good food, they have a large variety of food options. Did not take pictures sorry. Gave 4 stars to the atmosphere rating because it is hot inside with so many people. They should place fans to circulate the air.

Great local food! We came back after one year to find the same great food and service. Pescado entero (Northern red snapper) in the picture is one of the best fried fish I had. Try pan de elote for desert! 😋

Great customer service and food is simply delicious. If you’re driving, you probably wont be able to see it from the street, you need to pull over and enter the property to park. Staff is very welcoming. The best part is how economical it is!!!! Definitely try the Patacones Brujos!!!

Very quirky restaurant but the food was delicious. Lots to choose from with very large portions. Everything was very reasonably priced including the drinks. Good amount of people were there when we were including travellers and locals alike.
